So basically they are taking a Titan XP and underclocking it a little and then putting it out there for 33% off the price? Sounds legit.

Why are you so nasty NVidia? Why?

Will be nice, but will wait for an EVGA card, with something like acx 3.0 and overclocked. But if they release founders in January i guess we will have to wait until February or March before those are out. By then maybe we know more about Vega also to see if its a good purchase or not.

This puts me in a spot. Sell Titan X Maxwells for one Titan X Pascal or wait to see what, if anything, 1080ti delivers. Almost got burned when I got the Maxwells, but got them at deep discounts.

This article is fake it contain error :)

"The numbers add up" tyowards "a 10.8 GFLOP/s single precision performing product. Charted up it looks like this:"

"We are not sure why the product "qould" launch at CES though"

Does gddr5x make a really big difference for gaming anyway vs gddr5 ? Because this card would more made for gaming than the titan x.

The titan xp does a great job for gaming being able to over clock to 2 ghz+ on air and 2.1 ghz on water. it's possible the 1080 ti may not over clock this well.

So which is it? GDDR5 or GDDR5x? Probably neither because the card isn't coming out.

I remember saying "it is not going to come out" when I got the Titan X Maxwell only to have to watch 980tis flood the market.

I think it is coming because there is a spot for a $900 card and Nvidia does seem to want to flood every conceivable space in the market with an offering ... 1050 (if confirmed), 1060, 1070, 1080, 1090 (oops, or should I have said 1080ti) ...

The problem with the TI series is that Nvidia waits so long that by the time you get one the next generation is about to launch.   If the 1080TI actually is released in January...the 1080 series will already be out six months

HA HA so true!
I only had my 980Ti's for a few months cause I waited for prices to fall. Big mistake!
Pascal was announced a few months later!
You gotta be quick!

The rumors are really strong BTW, I'd expect a 980Ti situation with AIB partners...nVidia knows majority won't get a TITAN XP and wait for 1080Ti...and then there is Pascal refresh and Volta, fun times ahead.

Which is why those who own The TI's wait for the next generation's TI version and/or wait for the following generation after that TI version. I find it a time waster, money waster, and a waste in general to even bother going with the next x70/x80 generation when they already have a TI from the previous gen. For example, those who owned a 980TI and went and bought 1080s wasted their time, sorry if I hurt anyones emotions or hurt their period, but IMO, they wasted their time - IMO and people can do whatever they want, that's fine, but putting performance and money on the table, it's not worth it. Should have waited for 1080TI.

Right now I'm considering to bypass the 1080s all together and wait for the TI. The extra bandwidth from the 1080TI will allow a smoother gameplay over the 1080s. The GDDR5 vs GDDR5x will be redundant, IMO, at that point. .

The Titan xp is only 20-30% faster then the 1080?? Why wait for a 1080ti? It will be like what 10% faster then a 1080?

larger bandwidth, which is what I stated in my last statement. That's going to make a the biggest difference, smoother gameplay. The 1080 has a much smaller bandwidth.

That's funny that you mention what you said, because the 1080 is only a % faster than the 980TI (even though the 980TI has a larger bandwidth), but people bought the 1080s anyway. See my previous post . I'm thinking about the 1080TI because of the larger bandwidth that it will have over the 1080. It will have a higher fluency.

According to userbenchmark.com, the 1080 is roughly 60% faster than a single 980. Since we don't have any results for a 1080TI, we can only assume that it would be an additional 30% (meaning 90% faster than the 980) due to the fact that the 1080 is only 20-30% faster than a 980TI. (usberbenchmark.com states that the 980TI is roughly 30% faster than regular 980.) That will be a huge jump for those who have a 980 still, and are thinking to jump to the 1080TI.

Nevertheless, there is no 1080TI yet.

^^^^ states that the TI would have a memory bandwidth of 400gb/s ,  with a 320 memory bus size.

The 1080 has a 256bit memory bus with 320gb/s memory bandwidth.

I'll take the information for the TI, as a grain of salt.

I can't wait to replace graphic card.
What GTX1080Ti is delayed for 2017?

But that would be monster 12GB 384bit video memory, GDDR5X.
Fantastic. EVGA GTX1080Ti FTW Hybrid will dominate probably.

I hear last GTX1080Ti will have similar performance as TITAN X for lower price and should be launched in January.
To be honest my computer CRY for one FTW Hybrid.
She will look so nice inside my case, I know that. Elegant card, nice, most important powerful and cold.

New rumors for the 1080ti

http://videocardz.com/643...80-ti-with-10gb-memory

The only thing that does not necessarily make sense is the 384-bit memory bus, but does it really? This not the first time NVIDIA would use more memory controllers than it is really necessary (examples: GTX 660 with 192b interface or GTX 970 with 256b interface).

http://videocardz.com/specials/memory-bandwidth
Obviously they neglected and to even look at the memory chart that's on their very own website. The link above  (from within their own website) clearly states to have an effective 480gb/s memory bandwidth (http://www.mnrdaily.com/article/nvidia-1080ti-graphics-card-features-and-release-date-rumors-will-it-be-unveiled-in-2017/13481.htm), at 10,000mhz/s memory clock, you will need a 384bit bus width.

EVGA GTX1080Ti Hybrid will be amazing card.
I would really like such performance. But if price of GTX1080 FTW Hybrid drop on 550 euro I will buy GTX1080 FTW Hybrid.
But I would like GTX1080Ti more.
