So I currently have the Linksys WRT1200AC which is an amazing router, however one feature I want isn't on many routers. While this does have the thing to prioritize certain connections over others I want to be able to throttle somebody.

For instance when I have friends come over with wifi they like to do a lot of torrenting which is annoying, not that it slows my speeds down but I can set to media prioritize thing so my computer gets priority over everything else.

What I want though is to be able to actually throttle them. So what I want to do is be able to set them to say 10 mb down / 1 mb up and actually throttle them. I don't know of many routers that have this so I'm hoping somebody else knows of one. I don't want the standard QoS like I mentioned above.

Easily done if you have a nighthawk and adjust the guest access.

I was looking at that Nighthawk x6 but I wasn't sure if you could do it.

    EDIT:
I don't want them to use the guest network, because I have a guest network option on my router.

You should be able to setup a QoS policy for your friends mac address. Otherwise the only other way is to utilize your guest network or the built in prioritizing apps.
