Well my overlord preorder hasn't been shipped and I have no idea if I'll actually get it.

Gonna look into the crossover and achevia shimian again.  Don't care about the catleaps because of the awful stands.

Thanks for the in-depth review Cloudz00x, kind of made it easier for me in picking up which model.

No problem. It was a no brainer for me too Monitors are perfect and AccessoriesWhole is awesome.  If you do get one hit me back up here and let me know how it went!

Purchased one last night.  Picked up the PP model and his ad pretty much makes it cut clear its gonna be PP and not like the others where they state it is but gives you the whole mobojumbo about the panel grids and if you have a dead/stuck its fine as long as its not in the center.

Only major issue is he's pretty damn expensive compared to others.

Update:

So I'm a South Korean....Songtan SK is my hometown

Now I live on the east coast and I must say I usually ship stuff off to my relatives who now live around Inchon and Gangnam, and it can take up too two weeks or more. Not only that shipping is pretty damn expensive.

I ordered my Crossover 11/6/12 and it was shipped on that day from Inchon, arrived in Alaska yesterday and ended up at my doorstep today. Now mind you that the city I live in has a very large FedEX hub.

I asked my mom when she was in SK to check out the prices of these screens with my cousin and at retail it was gonna cost around 350 dollars so I wonder how much these guys are paying at whole sale price and shipping...

I'm just amazed that this international shipping happened so quickly.

Just bit the bullet and purchased 1 to from BCC.  I opted to go with the standard 27Q rather than the pixel perfect.  Am hoping that I'll get lucky ... paid $370 USD inc. free shipping.   Pixel Perfect was $450.

Was tempted to go with pivot model, but I have a nice ergotron arm in storage so can always bring that out.

oh and I'm running at gtx 480.  should have no issues right?

Any canadians bought?  Curious to see how we fared in getting hit with customs/duties and ETA as well.

thanks!

AccessoriesWhole was charging like 100$ for shipping on their eBay store.  Anyone know a better place fro them that doesn't have the shipping pricetag?

Got a link for BCC where you got your for much cheaper shipping?

They DaveB I think its because of the holiday's.

He's still has his PixelPerfect models up on Ebay for free shipping...but the issue that I'm seeing is that he bumped up the price of these monitors.

I'll wait it out if I was anyone till around 2013 Feb to purchase one, as they'll drop in price.

I have a Yamakasi and man, I have to say it's the best monitor I've ever owned in regard to pure display performance. It makes my other monitors look like garbage (why I'm thinking of selling this Dell and BenQ and putting the money toward another Yamakasi/Crossover/Overlord, etc monitor)

Link in the OP is now at $999, what's up with that? That's the same price as the Apple monitor and more than a Dell 27" IPS.

I have also purchased a Catleap and they are very nice monitors. I will agree on the stand being flimsy. Not taking anything away from the OP and the recommendation of the Crossover monitors, I posted 2 videos on my youtube channel about the Catleap Monitors after I purchased one back in July 2012. There was a bit of confusion then about exactly what grade and make the panel was so some of the info I gave at that time on the panel itself may be wrong. Part one is the unboxing and part two is a review of the monitor and also a good solution to the stand issue.

I would Just embed the videos here but I'm not sure how to do that. I don't see BBcode option.

Re:[Review] CrossOver LED-P 2560x1440p Monitors 2013/01/08 11:28:53 (permalink)
hey guys, okay got this delivered about a week ago now.  All in all it took about 2 days of communication and then 2 days to deliver to TO, Canada.  Got it delivered it in 2 days too.  Shipped on Sunday, would have delivered on Tuesday, but it was new years day, so got it Wed.  Got dinged with $24.24 CAD customs/duties though.  So all in all about $405 delivered.

Anyways, on to the display.  Yah, amazing, I'm absolutely blown away by it.  I tried to bring it to bed with me so I can cuddle up with it but the wife said no.

No dead pixels, no issues.  Also the power brick is two piece so I simply unplugged the cable that goes from the brick to the wall socket and replaced with a regular power cable from my monitor, so no need to even use the included adapter.

Going to try the ops ICC profiles and see how it looks.

Any one on the fence, don't hesitate.
