I've just submitted my request for the Powerlink and just want to confirm that this was the "right thing to do" since I have no idea if A) the Stepup card would qualify and B) if submitting this request now might cause challenges for my stepup?
Thanks!

Hi Chris - That's great. Thank you! I wasn't really expecting my Stepup to move forward until after 11/1 anyway (though I keep hoping that it will be sooner ;) ). Have a great day!

How did you submit a request for the powerlink if youre still waiting on the card? I tried to do a request and it told me no eligible gpu was registered to my account because im still in step up also.

Hey there, The Hoorider! I went to the form and it listed my current card as being valid for the program. I can only assume that this is because A) my current card (1070 FE) is valid for the Powerlink offer and B) I'm still in the "in queue" step of the Step-Up Program. Not sure if this helps or not?

It's uncommon for EVGA to combine offers, since the Step up says that it can not be combined, so if they are giving out the PowerLink with step up cards, that is awesome.

Just to reiterate and/or clear up any confusion that I may have inadvertently stirred up with this post - here's my story: I bought a 1070 Founders Edition back in June. Nearly at the end of my window, I opened my Step-Up request to get the 1080 ACX model. Fast-forward to me noticing the "Free PowerLink" offer that eVGA put up. I clicked the link, filled out the form with my current 1070FE as my "eligible" card and then submitted..but then wondered if I'd made a mistake in doing so. Therefore, I strolled over here to the Step-Up forum to post the question that started this thread -- the last thing that I want is for the PowerLink request to snarl up my Step-Up request! :) EVGATech_ChrisB assured me that we'd work out my request for the PowerLink (which I definitely trust in). I hope that this helps and sorry if I've muddied the waters for anyone!

No, you should be fine if you are requesting the link for your original 1000 series card.

So are people who stepped up to 1080 3.0 ACX cards eligible for the free powerlink? If so, how can I make the request?

EVGA Step-Up "The EVGA Step-Up cannot be combined with any other promotions or coupons." Bottom of the Page.

My guess would be that the free Powerlink offer is intended only for those folks who originally bought into the group of cards that are included in the offer. In my case, I bought a GTX 1070 FE (I am stepping up from this to a 1080 ACX 3.0), which qualifies, and used that as the product with which I applied for the free Powerlink. There's also the point that bcavnaugh shared (and Scarlet Tech alluded to as well), which backs up my supposition that Step-Up cards won't qualify due to them coming from the special promotion of the Step-Up program.
