Howdy,

The small Northbridge fan on my X58 motherboard basically sounds like an old prop plane at this point -- I've tried to tighten the screws, put a little padding in as I thought it was the housing vibrating, but I think the fan itself is just super loud. The board performs fine, and has for years, but if possible I'd like a replacement for the fan, if you guys even have any left! Otherwise, I've read that you can MacGuyver it with a 40mm fan and some zip ties... or something.

Thanks!

I've got the same problem on both E758 boards I have. I just removed the fan and housing and have a side panel fan blowing across the bare heatsink. So, I'd be interested if you have some sort of solution.

I apologize for the delay HeavyHemi; I was out of the office for the weekend and was unable to submit this request. I'll send you an e-mail as well, and we should be able to replace the fans.

Thank you very much Brandon. I received the fans and my NB temps dropped 10C under load.
