Can we please get an update on the release ? I really do not want to spend the week checking all day everyday for the 780 classified only to be find out it's not coming this week. Any info you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
I can't be the only one this board that keeps checking the forums every hour to see if there's an update on the classified 780, am I?! If this is a marketing strategy by EVGA to get me to pay attention to their products and marketing message, good on them; they got me fair and square. Devious...

Currently using the 1090T. I know there might be a bottle neck but I am planing to upgrade on the upcoming months to either intel or any new AMD CPUs. Since I can't dish all the cash at once I was hoping on using the card until I can get the other pieces together.
You will not have problem with 780 Classified. But after that you should think about cross on Intel and because PCIe 3.0. Intel will offer you enough CPU power to support and one more graphic card upgrade for 2-3 years. Somehow who try i7 is hard to back on any AMD. For me that would be like I don't have PC at all.

Hmm...you´re right. You can preorder it again with no specific date for delivery. So when I ask Mindfactory yesterday (yes I asked them again :p ) when my classy will be delivered they replied that a bunch of cards will arrive this week and 2-3 days after that I should be able to hold the card in my hands. But I doubt the card will arrive in June...and even July

Yeeeee, I will pass little cheaper with EVGA even than to buy card in Serbia. 13-14 July one women go in visit to son in Chicago, never better moment, she go last time before 6 years, and now exactly when I need.... But I can't explain what is backplate. I will see for that somehow later. She will bring EVGA 780 Classified for me. She confirm, I only need to write on paper model and her son will order that. Huh I will save little money than... Because I was ready to pay how much need. After that I open account in bank under name Haswell Extreme and every month 50e in bank.

I know EVGA has only been showing off the ACX version of the 780 Classified thus far, but is it likely they'll offer a traditional blower style cooler? Also, I hadn't thought of this before, but is the Classified blower in the same league as the Titan style cooler for the reference design?

I don't think they will, thought I remember seeing post from EVGA_Jacob saying ACX only, but I just noticed there is a 770 Classy with the blower fan. I would prefer the blower style myself.

Generally, the classified cards are quite good. They're definitely a cut above the vanilla, SC, and FTW versions for a lot of reasons. That being said, you should also temper your expectations. For the classified, you will pay a premium and you'll get some fancy features to play with, but in the end, it's still going to be a GTX 780. Performance will be higher, yes, but it's not going to blow your mind any more than the GTX 780 already will! If you want the best of the best and don't mind the premium, will utilize the extra features, and can wait a few more weeks, you can go with the classified version. Otherwise, I would be heavily considering the vanilla or SC version of the card. Personally? I have considered them heavily. But the wait times on the regular and SC from Amazon are making my decision for me!
