Well..... the 770 Classified is $90 more than the SC so my guess is the 780 Classified will be $100 more than the SC. Right around $750-780.  In no way should the Classified be $900/ That is going into Titan territory.

I hope you two are right.

Also Swiftech HC blocks are still swaying me to get a Lightning over the Classified.  Sorry but the quality of Swiftech is just so poor vs Aquacomputer/Heatkiller.  Hell even cheapo EK is doing wonders as of late.

What they price it at IDK based on OC..., but based on the 770 classy the 780 classy would be a bit of a rip at that price because with the 770 you are buying an additional 2GB of mem. as well! The 780, you get an EVBot header.

You really can't compare a GTX 780 to a GTX 770 (680).  I've had a GTX 680 Classified x2 before and even the GTX 780 SC ACX I have blows it out of the water.

And I would take a powerful GK110 + 384 bit 3GB > GK104 + 256 bit 4GB any day.

Yup, this time is much faster since its a familiar architecture.

LOL...

Yeah right... And availability (in Europe) will be in a couple of months or so. Like the EVGA GTX 780 SC ACX...
Sheesh.

That's not what is being compared. Comparison = 770sc / 770 classy price difference (and) 780sc / 780 classy price difference. It's all hypothetical because we can't stand waiting for it, so we tax our thought processes on vain repeated analytical guessing.

Ah misunderstood.

However the 770/780 SC vs 770/780 Classified is more than just that.  The Classifieds are "binned," comes with 14+2 power phase, custom PCB, 8pin 8pin power vs 8pin 6pin, and EVBot connector (780 only but the 680 used too).

Including the backplate with the card is the right thing to do. If you are getting the top of the line card, I'd expect a total fine tuning. Not like the Classifieds released in the past where you were charged a premium and then had to buy a $20 backplate.

We honestly probably wont find out until the day its actually released, maybe the day before if we are lucky.
Even though it pains me to say it I would not be surprised if we don;t see this drop before the first of next month. Jacob said 2-3 weeks on the 12th so the earliest would be the end of the month I would imagine.

He asked when it was going to be released. That is the most up to date info I have seen. Unless I missed something from evga to give a more detailed date.

What I dont understand is why we dont get notified by email or something when the classys are released, I only noticed the 770 classy out because I was randomly checking out the product list page and it was already sold out. You would think a company would make it easier for us to give them our $$$. Hell they didnt even bother posting it up on the front page. Schools almost out and im gunna be wanting that 780 classified real soon.

Because if they made a 6GB Classy than there be no reason to buy a titan at the current moment.

They're both GDDR5, the difference is 256bit vs 384bit memory bus (192.2GB/s vs 288.4GB/s).
