I see Titans in stock on Newegg all the time. Jacob said they (780 Classifieds) should be more widely available this week ( here as well as other retailers ). Whether the same goes for the EU and other markets as the US, I do not know.

I hope they do show up in European retailers this week as I have already paid for my classifieds, and if its going to be no more than a couple of weeks then that's fair enough but if we are talking until September like someone suggested previously I will just go with something else and move on, just wish we could get some clearer timescales from evga on when they will turn up at other retailers so I know if I'm wasting my time or not.

EVGA or at least Jacob has promised us that the Classified will be available this week at US shops, EU EVGA shop and through European webshops (retailers).
So I hope this is not (again) a false promise, because if it means it will not become available this week, the chances are that several people will get a MSI Lightning GTX 780 instead, because it's really disappointing to see EVGA unable to cope with the "demand" lately with their products.
Well demand is not the right word here actually, their production is just really, really slow and low.
I just hope they will keep their promise and also ship Classieds to there resellers (from their "Where to buy"-list). I already waited for almost 2 months before I finally received my 2x GTX 780 SC ACX cards, but I am not going to wait another 2 months for two Classifieds! More and more details are becoming available from the Lightning and it seems to be an excellent card to say the least.

Yes he did. Also on Twitter. Well it's only good news if it's true. I am not to certain it's going to happen, however I willing to be surprised positively.

I do not remember anyone "Promising" anything. I do remember them telling us that there would not be any stock until this week, and that stock would be in larger quantities as long as nothing they cannot predict slows that down...

Is it worth it to jump from the acx 780 sc, to the classified, if I have no intention of oc'ing it? (and if I do, only using evga's prec x. for benchmarks). I'm asking because the factory oc is only 26Mhz more in both base and boost. I'm guessing that's at most a 3% increase in game benchmarks. (the fillrate difference is 190 compared to 185) Now, if the cooler is better made or other major reason to do so, then i'll upgrade from the acx to classified. (it's just i'm not one to oc besides norm 'on air', so i'm wondering if this type of gpu is only for the major oc'ers that tweak higher voltages and use liquid cooling..ect) Thank guys. (I ordered and have the acx version last week, but was too busy to open it..so I can rma for a refund, and go with the Classified, if I choose. When they are in stock, that is from Newegg )

He said that Classifieds would available this week again and also through etailers. Furthermore he also said (on Twitter) there would be more available this time. Well that last part depends on how you interprete it. Two Classifieds available instead of one, would already account for more "availability". Anways within 2 weeks the Lightning will appear as well. Waited already long enough. 2 months for ACX + 1 month for Classified (now in total). I will take whatever is available the soonest Lightning or Classified and cancel the other order. Tired of waiting.

I'm one such person on a deadline. I have about 2-3 weeks left to get 2 gtx 780's. I'm going the watercooling route. I contacted EK and they will not be making any lightning 780 waterblocks for the foreseeable future. Aquacomputer won't be as well. Haven't heard anything from any other 3rd party manufacturers. It's either gonna be reference 780's with 3rd party blocks or the classifieds with the hydrocopper blocks. I'm really leaning towards the classifieds for the extra OC potential. But man, I hope they don't sell out instantly....

Still, it ain't fun how EU is beeing kept in the dark so far regarding release. Wanted to start my custom loop a month ago but so far i have to keep pushing the date for that further due to still missing classifieds and their waterblocks. (or hydrocoppers) Shops know nothing and around here release gets pushed a week further everytime which is getting kinda annoying.

I suppose if you are on some sort of time frame where you need a card immediately, I guess that works for you.
Others including myself will wait for the EVGA card... Mainly because I know EVGA support and their products. I have 28 registered EVGA products for a reason. I personally do not want to have to deal with MSI if or when the card decides to stop working.
I would assume that Jacobs response on the re-availability of the 780 Classified ACX cards being Mon / Tues : ... post #43 : http://forums.evga.com/tm.aspx?&m=1985114&mpage=2 ... could / should be taken to mean that EVGA is very aware of the MSI cards "proposed" release date, & are certainly trying to have a good amount of the 780 Classified ACXs available for sale "before" then ... Regardless - I'm with fletchj & the others that will be sticking with EVGA on the 780 Classifieds - air or water ... ... primarily due to the 780 Classified HC waterblock allowing for the ACX card to be changed to H2O ... ... & how many ultimately change their minds about the Classified air cooled cards, & want to watercool them ... ... take a look at the "please bring back the 680 Classified waterblock" thread -- I think it's still going ...

By the time you find some actual availability of the EVGA Classy, might be about the same time frame either way Aug 7th is only next week. haha maybe But this is the US branch where we don't have to worry like the EU.

Short answer is: if you do not intend to OC, stick with the SC ACX. The long answer is that I did just that. My SCs out of the box were 1102 and 1089. My Classys out of the box was 1150. Real world performance difference is negligible. The difference is definitely when talking about overclocking as my SCs topped at 1176 and my Classys go to 1280, at 1.2V.

JerkMan, thanks a lot for the info..heck now i'm probably going with the Classified, even without major oc'ing. You said 1100MHz boost clock on the acx 780(sc) which is some 50MHz off the Classified you had, correct? I heard some Classified have hit 1200 boost...i'm not sure if that's commonplace or 1150-1200 is more in the range. I need to test my pc case(pos Dell Auroda) for it's cooling temps, as i'm guessing I don't want the possible lack of good air cooling to limit the potential clock boost of the Classified. One question, did the 50Mhz difference show itself in any game benchmarks? I'm thinking if the acx sc gets say 56fps in Crysis3 the Classified would hit 57 or 58 max? If so, that's not a major difference. But if I do oc the Classified..then it would be, for sure. Also I heard the cooler is bigger..and a bit better(per evga). I have this feeling i'll oc the heck out of the Classified..lol, to the point where I may over do it and need to rma it. Once again..thanks for the info. JerkMan
