the backplate photos went away for the classified.
does this mean it wont come with the backplate?
They removed it, because it was incompatible, or atleast that's what Jacob said.
So there will be no backplate for the Classified.
Dang it!
This might be false hope mind you... But they still have it pictured on the WC version of the Classy!! And if I remember correctly.. My 680's required the back-plate in order to add the WB... If my memory is correct, it makes me think that might still be the case with these units as well. In reality I bet this is part of the delay for the Hydro Classy... They could not get the back-plate to work out so they have to re-design the WB. "Pure" speculation on my part of course...**Crossed fingers**

While the comparison is quite entertaining, many people feel that a backplate, among other "premium" benefits should be simply included in the purchase of a premium card. I'm not one of those crazy backplate lovers, but you know there are alot of people obsessed with their backplates... and those who are seem to overwhelmingly believe it should be included in the purchase of a classified tier card.

Sorry it was not included because the height increases the back beyond the PCI-E spec.

Question:
If the Class. version has the slight 30MHz in boost over the sc acx version, then won't both benchmark the same?
We all know with gpu boost 2.0 both gpu's will clock a lot higher then the factory oc.
(if they both benchmark the same, the acx sc version is a no-brainer since it's $30 cheaper)

This .... I live outside the US but i am vacationing only for a couple of weeks here..... I missed the card the first time because EVGA wouldn't accept my billing information even tho it is an address from the US .... I had to change it another card and then they where all gone by then

Guess I was not the only one :P My CC still doesnt work, I had to choose a different card myself. I waited hours only to find out EVGA would not accept my money

It didn't seem like they released more than a hundred or two cards at most. But that's just my dumb guess.

Yes they are planning to be here today. Assuming that everything checks out good you can expect them to go live later this afternoon, but I just want to put the reminder out there this it will be pretty limited for today.
Jacob said that the release would be pretty limited. That and the time it took to sell out is what informed my above guess.
