Just download Precision X and move the Temp limit to 90c and power limit to 120 and make a custom Fan curve and enjoy the card ;)

Sounds like thermal throttle is hitting the core.Is this reason to RMA? Please answer me. Thx

ALL Nvidia Maxwell and Kepler series cards throttle at 80 (from the factory). no reason to be concerned.

My card is hitting 80C all the time when benching on 4k. The temp ceiling is actually quite low for GFX cards.

It seems the fan profile was made to be super quiet for the tradeoff of throttling the card all the time. If you raised the fan speed to be as loud as a regular card, it wouldn't hit 80C.
Or you can raise the max temp to like 85 or something.
