Hi,
I'm probably in the minority, but I'm really struggling to see any significant difference between regular 1080P, 2xDSR or 4xDSR.
I read that "older" games would especially benefit from the DSR treatment, so can anyone recommend a few that really showcase DSR with the 900 series GPU?

I fail to see how you wouldn't notice it honestly. Clarity becomes ridiculously obvious when you run at 4k. You should just google 4k vs 1080p to see the differences in texture clarity and such. Also, your monitor's native resolution is the basis for the multipliers.

Check my edited comment at the end there as well.
I'm sure those were probably actual 4k screenshots on a 4k monitor, but DSR would be fairly close. You'll lose some data obviously, but your image will still be greatly improved over just your standard resolution. Mileage varies from game to game, of course.

I see a difference in all my games they look smoother, I really like that feature, but that's just my opinion..

I think there are a lot more ways to enjoy one's GPU power than more pixels, be it actual 4k or downsampling. People that choke down 30 to 40 fps on a $5000 machine to play at 4K+ are just crazy to me.
I think when they talked about "old games" they meant ones that don't have anti-aliasing which gives similar results to downsampling. So they mean oooold games or maybe just ones that require so little GPU power to run that there's literally nothing else to use your power on.

DSR means a lot more than just improved anti-aliasing. I don't know why people don't get that. If you just turn on DSR and then change your desktop resolution, you'll see the amount of screen space you get lol. That translates into more real estate in games as well. The biggest bonus I've seen is much improved texture quality.

I see no difference when running DSR. The only difference I get is more input lag. I tried WoW, SC2, TF2, and Metro 2033. I might try again when I step up from my 780GTX to the 980GTX.

Since posting my original question I've been playing with DSR again (Alien:Isolation, Tomb Raider 2013, The Witcher 2...etc) and in all honesty the only thing I notice is the sound of the fans on my card cranking up. If there are any graphical improvements then they are simply too subtle for me, which is another way of saying that I can't really see any. I'm going to try S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky later to see if there is any significant improvement on a 6 year-old game.

Only game I've tried DSR on so far is Borderlands Pre. I was disappointed in the game when I saw it only had FXAA, but thankfully there is now DSR. I'm playing on my 2560x1440 monitor and have DSR set to 2.25x which is a resolution of 3840x2160 (4K). The game definitely looks better with DSR on. I was switching the resolution from 1440 to 2160 in the settings to see the actual differences.

Only tried assetto corsa and the menu ui was hard to read, so that's a no go, i'll have to find a way of making some icons larger?, but i'll have to play more to see the difference, mind you this is on the 7 series, maybe it works better with the 9 series?. Excuse for a 9 series gpu or 2

I have to say that Diablo 3 with DSR looks a bit nicer. Better textures for the most part.
Skyrim is quite the looker too with DSR...but I have lots of texture mods so hard to say :P
WoW and Hearthstone look cleaner too (but that's not the right games to try it lol).
Divinity: Original Sin is superb with DSR too.
I still have to try it on other "better" games...

UE3 games look great........ Mass Effect 2 at 5120x3840 or whatever is pretty amazing with two 970s. 60 fps locked, 4x AA....... america.

What DSR resolution are you using for DAO? I have tried 4x and 2x my native resolution (1080p) and find some parts of the UI not usable (like the talent/spell bar) or just not readable. So I'm curious if you're doing anything differently as I would love to use DSR for DAO.

I think one of the bigger differences I saw was in Wolfenstein The New Order, but its quite useful in most games, especially ones that have limited (or no) MSAA support.

Finally had a chance to give Black Mesa a go at 4k DSR - Half Life never looked so good and GPU barely reached 40%.
