Ok I hope this is the right place for this. Here's a list of what I have:
Gigabyte p35-DS3L
Intel Q8400 @ 3.2
arctic freezer pro 7
8GB GSKILL ram
EVGA GTX 570 2.5GB
Plextor 128gb ssd
WD 1TB storage
Antec neoeco 620 watt

Recommend my upgrades for a budget. Looking to reuse as much as possible. It's long in the tooth but honestly I've never gotten the gaming performance out of it I expected to. Would like to reuse the GPU but am not opposed to a new one. The CPU, Ram and mobo are a given to replace so yeah. Anyway would like your opinions. I was told here I would be bottlenecked with this GPU in this setup but Processor maxed the card but I suspect maybe bus issues are hampering my efforts. Anyway any input is appreciated.

What is your budget?  The motherboard, RAM, and CPU definitely have to go in favor of a Z97 or X99 setup, depending on what you can afford.  You'll probably want to get a new CPU cooler too, like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus or EVO which are inexpensive and very good.

Hmm, $219 for that i5 4670k seems great. How much advantage would the i7 offer?

The i7 4970K has a higher stock and boost clock of 500MHz and it has hyper-threading, so it acts as a 8 core processor with 4 physical cores and 8 logical cores.

I would think that would be a pretty good difference.
