Hello all, i have been getting a random error code FF, and no display when i first start my computer up from a cold boot. This does not happen all the time just randomly. I have tried to change the power supply , and took everything out memory and cpu , the 8- pin connector and followed the evga video on how to fix the FF issue. Also updated to S71H bios.. Its not a big deal, i just have to restart my computer and it works fine, just kinda annoying. Does anyone know of any more troubleshooting i could possibly do, i really don't want to send this board back, its a great mobo and i want to give it a chance. Thanks!!

Thats the best part for trying to T/S an intermittant code ... if it was a constant code it would be a bit easier to trace down ... since you have swapped out PSU's and are still seeing the random FF ... have you also swapped out CPU's as well to eliminate it as well? ... and when you removed the CPU were there any bent or broken pins and how does the contact points look on the CPU itself?

Havent tried to swap out the cpu yet , as i only have one. When i removed the cpu everything looked fine the pins were not bent.  I was reading about the FF code and some say that when u first boot up the comp it looks for set voltages and if the voltages are not correct then it wont go past FF.

I have the same problem too, this doesn't inspire confidence in evga. Maybe I'll go & buy an MSI board again...

I don't know where it is, but this is what it looks like (courtesy of KMoore4318):

Be careful if you mess W/it, it will pop out high and fast from what I hear.
