I'm almost at the boiling point with EVGA I bought a brand new GTX 650TI Boost 2GB didn't even last 1 year they RMA replaced it and that had Artifacts, so they sent a GTX 660 2gb as a replacement and 4 months later this has Artifacts. I'm sick of this can I just get a working RMA GPU Replacement? I've been having problems with EVGA and their RMAs since JUNE, this is really stressful. I was playing SMITE for 1-2 hours and everything was fine, then I played it again for 3 hours everything was fine for a time then I got all these Artifacts all over my screen I thought it was just the game messing up but I stopped the game and changed to PAYDAY2 and the same thing there, even now as I type this I have stretchmarks and blanked out text due to this so called fully tested working GPU......

Between my friends and I, I've seen more EVGA GPU's fail in the last 3 years then ever. I've personally received a card that last no longer then 4 months or so. As truly amazing as EVGA's customer service is, you can only get so many dud's before you loose faith. I've only briefly heard of the CIT brand power supply, and never heard the greatest things about them, I do know a bad PSU can cause all kinds of erratic behavior. I'd get in touch with EVGA, I know they will take care of you as long as your card is under warranty. If you ever have a card die in the future, I'd replace that PSU in a heartbeat o.O

Well tonight I'm going to change back to my old Raedon HD GPU and see if I still get artifacts and if I don't see artifacts EVGA are sending us dud RMA GPUs.

Sorry for the double post the edit option would not work, anyway as I suspected it is the GPU that is defective because I uninstalled the GPU drivers and the Artifacts are no more, also I installed my old Raedon HD GPU and there're no artifacts full stop, so the problem is with the EVGA GPU. I've used up 1 year of warranty 2 more years to go so I'm just waiting on a reply from my Support Ticket.

I have friend that had the same issue, 3 returns later, a 8800 GTS 640mb edition, turned into a now working 460GTX that has worked for 2-3 years now. Honestly, it is a bit troublesome having to ship a card back and forth that may times, but I can't really complain when a company is willing to continually offer their guarantee on their cards with lifetime warranty.

Im sure EVGA will take care of your issue prompty. Have faith and continue on!

BTW how hot does your card get under load?

    Current Build:
CPU: Intel i7-8770k @ stock speeds
    Motherboard: ASUS PRIME z370-A
    Memory: 16 GB Corsair Vengence
    GPU: GTX 970 FTW
    Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 750G2

Hi, the Card only goes up to 55c-60c while playing SMITE as I don't play at full graphic settings, when I do play at high settings like on Payday 2 it goes no higher then 75c it stays at 70-72 most of the time while playing at high settings. As for EVGA they have approved my RMA and I'll be sending off but no free shipping this time probably because it's been 4 months since my last RMA, I've heard you get a fully working GPU that lasts for 2-3 years on your 3rd-4th RMA alot of messing about and sending refurbished GPUs back to their customers, why don't they just send a brand new GPU it would save alot of time and boost their Rep.

From a business standpoint, you generally replace the faulty model with something of equal value AKA a used GPU for a used GPU. Imagine if you took your car in at 30K miles, something was broken, they wouldn't give you a brand new car with 0 miles right? This analogy is a bit stretched, but you get the picture.

Also, a company would usually set aside items used solely for the RMA process/repairs, they would never mix their goods to be sold inventory with their repair inventory. On occasion they may need to dip in to the reserves, but these things are usually calculated on a business level.

With that being said, EVGA most likely has replacements on hand, some newer, some older, some repaired, etc. But you also have to factor things in such as the life expectancy of the cards, how long do things like solder last before drying up and cracking, how long do certain components or materials last. While EVGA may have fixed/repaired or had brand new replacement cards stress tested and ready to be shipped out on hand, time can do damage to these cards.

And again, on a business level you set some kind of threshold and first have faith that your replacement products are still in pristine condition, after that threshold customer experience becomes detrimental and satisfaction become the forerunner.

With this being said, it would be very nice if shipping the card back and forth didn't cost some $15 or more per shipment (at least when i was getting my RMA's in the clam shell packed and shipped by FedEx). But hey, I'm more than happy that EVGA gives the technical support and willingness to continue fixing the issue until it gets fixed, at least for me.

Hope the RMA process goes alright for you!
