I am having to RMA my video card (04G-P4-2975-KR) due to instability during heavy gaming. As I look on the open RMA page, it shows the part number out as (04G-P4-2977-KR).

When I look at the specs of both cards, I am taking a lose in GPU freq. The card I have is a EVGA GeForce GTX 970 SSC GAMING ACX 2.0. The card they plan on sending me is EVGA DeForce GTX 970 SC+GAMING ACX 2.0.

Any thoughts on this?

The boost 2.0 feature will boost the card beyond stock anyway, so you probably would never notice. You can talk to them and make sure they are sending the correct card though, as they are generally very helpful.

ya seems like  your getting a lesser card to me  ?   ssc is a step up from a sc     I guess if you wanted a sc to start with you would of got one  for less ?    use to be you got the next best card  ''UP''  if they did not have your exact  replacement  card to exchange .. I guess times have changed and  you take what ever they give you   even if its the short end of the stick  ??

I would hook up with support may just been a error on there part like just misread the  ssc  part and mistaken it for sc ?    I don't think I'd be too happy   then I guess its there call to give you any replacement card or tell you to get lost  or too bad so sad , sorry ..... have a nice day and thanks for choosing evga  and send you old card back at your added cost  [LOL]

like the guy said above maybe you will get lucky and the sc will boost higher then your old ssc ??  then again it may not ??

I do hope it was a error and a slight mix up  just to add the sc +   I think is a better pcb  with the improvements like gen2 vrm's and cooler and little revisions   over your old ssc  ?  so over all even clocked a bit less it maybe a ''better card ''   something to look at as well

    good luck
