Wow i am really sorry to hear this Afterburner. My condolences to you and the rest of your family.

Why is it that bad things always happen to good people.

We wanted to come in here and add....

I thought long and hard today on what to do. But was in the end I was afraid to start another thread and either A) Have my thoughts misunderstood or be considered distasteful. Or B) Be missed or require further explanation. So the following I think belongs here....

My Family and I would like to extend more gratitude than can be expressed in this electronic forum. Just know we all have read and appreciate every single posting here and are greatly appreciative of them all.

Those of you with kids, understand what parents actually go through. Those of you that do not have kids, or will not for many years, will understand and most likely remember this thread many years down the road. Now go hug the ones you love. Even if it is hard to do. Please just trust me on that one! Memories are forever. Good and bad.....

We would like to thank those that also sent PM's, Emails, Cards and other items. When you first get them they hurt because of the knowledge of why we are getting them, but as soon as you read the words, warmth comes over you along with a deep appreciation.

We do not want to call anyone out, or put anyone in an uncomfortable position. But a few have to be given an extra "Hug"...

The entire EVGA Staff & Mods..... And to Warthorn, Lonewolf, and Marcam. You know why, and we are forever grateful.

I am afraid if I say anymore, I will begin to cry. Not a good idea for electronics to get wet

Words will never be expressed for this type of loss. It is beyond words. And at the same time it is also a part of life.

We are proud of those that offer themselves to the Donor programs, and am amazed at the level of professionalism they have in the process. Thank you for those that are and are considering it.

Lets remember Our Son saving three lives as others have. And know he was amazing and a positive member of our communities.

He volunteered and a local "Family Abuse" Clinic as a counselor, and was in the process of becoming a Police Officer.

He will be missed but not forgotten.....

AB one thing I want you to remember, in the next few coming months, we will still be here. Don't think we are going anywhere!

AB, it was our honor to be able to assist you through this time in any way we could.  I know that you would do the same for any of us.

AB, I, as others have said, am sorry I did not see this post before now.  I first want to thank you for sharing your story (and your pain) with us.  I think it's safe to say that for those of us as parents, your story is an everlasting reminder of just how fleeting life is, and that every day is a blessing we should not waste. 

Secondly, I'd like to convey my deepest, and most sincere condolences for the loss you, your wife, and your family have suffered.  We haven't spoken much in the time I've been here, but I will be remembering you in my prayers every day.  Peace, AB...I wish you peace, calm, and comfort while you work through this.

I am really sorry for your loss and my entire family will keep you and your family in ours prayers. I cannot imagine the feeling of losing a son, as I am still young. However, I have lost a grandfather with whom I was very close. I am afraid that time is the only medicine that will ease the heavy burden of sorrow that you are feeling.

Let this loss be something to bring your family closer together so that you may strengthen each other when you each of you needs it the most. Let his memory solidify the family bond that each of you shares. While this may not be the fate that he would have chosen for himself, you and your family can honor him by helping each other through this most difficult time. By doing this, you ensure that he lives on through each of you.

When you think about him, do not dwell on regrets. Instead, remember your son for the amazing man that he became. Remember that he will always be with you in everything that you do.

My family and I are praying for you and your family in this difficult time. We wish the best for you all.

I know i speak for everyone here when i say this

I am sorry for your loss but happy that threw all this pain other people and families were able to be spared this threw your sons organs and to add to this that if anything is needed i know that the people here will deliver whatever they can in your time of need.

I don't post here often(read: never) but Dizzy told me about this. My best regards go out to you.

Sorry for your loss. I don't have children of my own, but a few years back my Father suddenly passed with out warning. The part of one of your posts I quoted below describes my feelings almost exactly for at least a week or two after the incident. Losing a loved one is hard enough, but not really being able to say goodbye to them is hard on the system as a son let alone a father. We aren't really made to put our children to rest. Glad to hear his organs made the difference in other people's lives. I'm sure it wasn't a pleasant experience to see your son after the accident, but at least you got to see him. I know I took it pretty rough that I was 265 miles away at college when my father passed. Just have to take some time off and reset.

We feel drugged. Like in a dream but numb at the same time. We cry, get mad, feel pity, demand answers, ask the same questions repeatedly.

Sorry for your loss and I wish there was something I could say or do to make you and your family feel better.When my son returns from Afghanistan I will be sure to hive him an extra hug.

Thank you all for adding to this post. We still can't believe it. Today it got a bit harder for us. We had to put to sleep one of his favorite dogs, our 14 year old Dalmatian. Tough day right now....

As with everything in life, every cause has a reaction... And we have to work with the good as well as the bad.....
