Trying to properly set up my BIOS on the Z170. I have 2 new Intel 750 series AICs, NOT the 2.5 cases. I have a Titan X in slot 1, the 750 series AICs in slot 2 and 3. Trying to configure them in RAID 0. I've spent the last week doing extensive research and 2 days trying every conceivable BIOS config and have found no solutions. Appears that outside of purchasing the M2 adapter and exchanging my AICs for two 750 Series 2.5 inch "case" SSD's, there is no guidance on setting up RAID 0 for the dual AIC SSDs. I try to do my own research, find solutions and educate myself (just enough knowledge to make me dangerous!) but, Intel, ASUS, Tom's Hdwr, DIYasus, and many others just do not address this RAID 0 issue with the dual AICs. I have hit a brick wall. I also get the impression that WITHOUT the M2 adapter and the 2.5 case SSDs, even though the 2 slots for my AIC are Gen 3, the performance could be less than designed. Am I understanding that correctly? The BIOS is updated and I only have an external DVD drive connected. Although the 2 Intel drives appear in the BIOS, when setting up RAID I receive a notice that there are no drives detected. Any help will be deeply appreciated. (Is it possible I have to format or install an OS on one of the drives and then go back to the BIOS?) If you could be so kind as to walk me through this step by step, I would be very thankful. I have not had anything near this confusing. The technology is really getting ahead of me. Thank you in advance for your time, trouble and suggestions. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
