found out what the problem was with the adapter cable (came with sunbeam controller kit) going from molex to fan connector. it had bad factory crimps on molex side, rarely making contact, they both came off eventually without any effort, that is the reason there was no continuity on wire ends, eventually happened to both wires in this adapter cable.

for now I reconnected some recycled molex pins pre-crimped on a piece of wire, and re-connected using automotive butt connectors for small gauge wire. then sleeved it to hide it

in future I may invest into a molex ratcheting crimp tool ($25) and some new molex and fan connector pins from frozencpu and make thing nice and smooth with correct wiring, but for now I don't care, just want to make it work. my quick-fix ugliness is hidden under sleeving anyways and those wires go into hidden places in my system, so who cares

will test my cold cathode on fan controller soon, hopefully it works this time, would be cool to have the ability to turn it on & off with a knob on the controller in front of computer.

EDIT:
it works!

a couple minor (final) mods coming in, namely the sleeved red extensions for PCI-e & cpu/atx (one for now)!

thanks BigH3017! left you an eval on heatware bro, thanks! it was a good deal

will post some piccies after it gets installed, hopefully I have enough free space at the back of case to accommodate them LOL!

in future plans, another CPU/ATX sleeved extension and the one for MB 24-pin too (will take some time).

hehe, thanks
I can imagine putting this heatshrink on so many wires ...

well, I like this loose tubing setup as is for now. it's very flexible, so I can move things around and that I need for filling the dual bay reservoir or moving the rad slightly out of case with hoses attached (.e.g for fan replacement).

in future the loop will be extended (2nd rad outside, hence why I drilled holes below the exhaust fan) and routed differently. also the reservoir will be switched to a cylinder like EK mounted on the side vertically and the pump somewhere down below on the "floor" of case.

ok, i'm reinstalling my OS and am very bored, a little pissed and such ... anyways here are some tunes I'd like to share with readers/viewers ... perhaps this time something fits - those tunes bite me real deep

the best Arabian singer I know, her voice simply thrills me

the most interesting  ... something deep   - unfortunately bad quality on youtube

thanks adjago!

I changed it a bit over again in meantime (not recently though), no longer running EVGA board, but still loving EVGA vid cards (rocking 670 SLI), more pics in that thread if you like:

So what did you do to the holes after they were cut, any rubber to protect the wires or anything

How did you get the very top clear mount latch off, it's way up in there

Polished them with dremel's stone tip thingy. In the end all edges were so smooth that I could run my finger all around every hole without cutting myself or even feeling anything sharp at all.

can't remember, maybe I used some pliers or a screw driver to pry stuff gently. not sure, it was long ago.
