Hello,

I have some questions about the RMA + refund process (less than 30 days after purchase) from EVGA EU store :

A few days ago, I sent back 2 GTX970 FTW in RMA, for refund.
Just one card was opened and tested (with 2 different PSU), it made so much coil noise... The other was unopened, still under protective blister.
I choose to RMA both cards and ask for refund since I was still in the 30 days period after purchase.
I think I'll buy a pair of GTX 980 (since they seem to be less subject to coil whine) in their 8GB version that will eventually come out one day!

Both RMA are accepted :) I carefully package both cards (once of them still under protective blister since it wasn't opened) and paid for shipping back  since I wasn't aware that there was a 30 days free pickup service...
(In the meantime, being a faithful customer, I also purchased an Evga 1000 P2 to be sure I won't have coil whine in the future!)

My concerns are about the restocking fee.

- In the FAQ, when you search for 'refund' , there is no mention of restocking fee : evga.com/support/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=58584

- In the US store terms (evga.com/storeterms.asp) there is this:
"Any open products returned for a refund will be subject to a 15% restocking fee."

- in the EU store terms (eu.evga.com/products/storeterms.asp) there is :
"There may be a 20% restocking fee applied to all opened returns."
which seems to indicate that the 20% fee would not be automatic? what are the conditions?

Could someone from evga EU please clarify this please? :)

- I understand I won't be charged any restocking fee for the card still under protective blister right?
- What would be the restocking fee for the card I tested (20%? 15%? nothing?)

Thanks!

Wow, Customer Service answered me directly a few minutes ago via mail (since I ask them the same question yesterday, pointing out the differences about the fee between the FAQ, the US Store terms and the EU store terms)

and I'm quite pleased with the answer great Customer service as usual from EVGA!
    awesome EVGA Customer Service Team
thank you for your email. We are gald that you were kind enough to point out the discrepancy on the website and forwarded the info for correction. We wish to make an exception in gratitude and accept both cards without the restocking fee. We hope that this meets with your approval.

    Best regards,

So I guess they'll update the different websites soon :)
