RMA#: 543215000124

I currently have my gfx card heading to EVGA for RMA and am wondering if they contact you should they not have an exact replacement for your gfx card model ?

I ask this because I use the card for CUDA accelerated 3D modelling and if they send a card with less CUDA cores it will more than likely add time to my renders....even though the card may be asfast/faster in games.

I did attach a little note to the card requesting the return card to have at least equal amount of cuda cores if not exact match.

Is this a fair request or will I just have to lump it and be happy with whatever I get if its not the same ?

You are asking in the wrong area, but we can try to help if you provide information. The forums are peer to peer assistance mainly, and then EVGA is contacted when we are unable to help.

What card did you send back is the important thing, as that will answer more questions that are coming.

Usually, when they replace the card, it is with a card that performs better anyway, 560 to 660ti type of step up, and rarely fives you less performance.

If you contact EVGA directly through the support ticket you have already created, they can usually help you out ahead of time. You may want to see about talking to them and finding out what they will do, through the ticket, so that you know before it happens.

Thanks Scarlet, I will raise it with them through the support ticket as you suggested in the morning.

It is a gtx 670 that I have returned.

I realize this is a user forum, I just wasn't sure if evga contacted you in the event an alternative card is sent

Obviously gaming performance is of no interest to me

You will probably be able to get a 670 back, no problem. :-)

Just thought I would close this thread off.

Received an identical replacement which works faultlessly.

All in all, a very fast and efficient service from evga. The lack of email updates was a little annoying having only received the one email telling me my RMA had been shipped (3 days after it had been shipped).

But yea, very happy with the service.
