So I've never had to 'update' my bios whenever I've upgraded my hardware as there never seemed to be a problem.
Has anyone upgraded without updating their bios & would I first upgrade to windows 10 & then download the bios from Asus to a USB drive then update via the bios?

Thanks

It depends on how Asus motherboards work with certain files (e.g. .exe files via windows, booting from a usb drive, booting from cd,) I know EVGA motherboards will allow you to update the BIOS directly from windows when you download the .exe file. Soooo, you should have something similar.

Asus does have a bios utility to update from the Operating system. I updated my bios before I switched to w10.

You don't have to update your BIOs for an upgraded operating system but it never hurts to keep your system as current as possible.

So when the Windows 10 icon appeared it allowed me to upgrade but I've just ignore it. Tried to upgrade today and it says that "Corsair Link" is incompatible etc...so okay I've uninstalled it yet I still can't upgrade . Anyone have that sort of problem. Even when it runs for checks its stopping me from updating?
