Hello,

i have EVGA geforce gtx970 SC (blower type) with EK waterblock and backplate installed. Temp core dont go higher then 45*C under stress, soo i wanted make some OC. Core can do stable +150MHz (almost 1,5GHz in boost), but memory just +200MHz (unlucky i guess - i saw on forums ppl do mostly +500Mhz  on their cards).
But mine question is about add more voltage - in evga precision and also in msi afterburner adding +37mV does not effect in boost voltage at all - i can have still 1,200V under stress if i add this 37mV or not. Its some kind blocked in cards BIOS?

If EVGA Precision doesn't allow you any further voltage increases then I would say that you've reached a limitation.

If you're looking for much more performance maybe it's time to consider two GTX 970SC cards in SLI.

Its just strange for me that this option for OV is usless. I aslo saw screen of guy with Asus gtx970, who had on standard 1,200V also, but he could increase voltage bu afterburner to 1,237V and it worked.
Performance its not bad, but i wanted reach as high fps as i can since i have very good cooling system. SLI wont work cause i sit on ITX mainboard :)

2974-KR is 'Voltage Locked'. You would be required to make a vBIOS/firmware edit to increase the voltage which would void your warranty through EVGA.

EDIT: I'm assuming it's a GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0 which is the 2974-KR model.

It may still be voltage locked.

It may still be voltage locked.

A voltage lock might be needed to guarantee stability at the factory set overclock.
