My 980ti appears to have bitten the dust and I see some people have said EVGA is sending out 1080s at this point. If I select the cross ship option where I have to pay in advance and my card was replaced with a 1080 would I have to pay the price of the 1080 or the price of what a 980ti is worth? Also is there any way of knowing what i'm getting in return or is that not determined until it is actually shipped out?

You would pay the collateral deposit based on the MSRP of the faulty unit and not the replacement and this amount would not change once your credit card has been submitted.

Thanks. Is there a way of knowing what I'm going to get back? The reason I ask is because if I'm just going to get a 980ti then I will buy a 1080 while I'm waiting on the RMA.

It will likely be another 980 Ti. The only reason we would send out another PN would be due to availability, but we won't know if this until the card is received. I would assume the card will be the same until the RMA department says otherwise.

Don't forget evga will hold the full collateral for up to 14days.
