Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to upgrade my EVGA 560 SC to a 970 FTW, and was wondering if anyone who understands these things could tell me if I look like I'm in the clear for upgrading.  As far as I know the only things to be concerned about are:
1) Does it fit?
2) Power supply
3) Proper PCIe slot

It will fit, and my power supply is 850 watts, so I'm sure I can get those parts connected.  It's my motherboard I'm not sure of.
  - My motherboard.
According to the specs:
1 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (blue) *1
1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black)
*1: PCIe 3.0 speed is supported by Intel® 3rd generation Core™ processors.
(My CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3570K)

So, am I in the clear for being able to use a 970 FTW?  I appreciate any help anyone can give with this.

Basically my upgrade. All you'll have to worry about is how to max out the graphics on everything you have!

I would recommend that your remove all NVIDIA Drivers and EVGA Precision X Software if used and say no to saving EVGA Precision X Profiles.
Reboot your computer and let it install the Standard VGA Driver reboot your computer.

The follow the below and reboot one more time then turn off your computer and take out your old card and install your new GTX 970.

    From: http://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2088731
On a Side Note that I have learned to do is delete the two Keys listed below.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Video
It will error and say it cannot delete the Key, but that is ok as it cannot delete the Key itself nor the Default VGA Driver GUIDs.
What it will delete is all the GUID's for NVIDIA's Drivers. REBOOT After you delete the Keys.
This is the last item that I do before I install a New Video Drivers.

I do the above between each new Driver.

Thanks for the information everyone.  I was slow in responding to the in-stock email, so I missed out today.  Maybe tomorrow.
