Hello, I upgraded my pc recently and also purchased an acer qhd display, 34" 3440x1440, I am experiencing some major lag on some of my old games, like metro last light and the witcher 3, I though I had a good enough set up to handle this monitor, I have the latest drivers installed for my gpu's, not sure what is causing this much lag, 20-30 fps on metro last light in action it goes down to 12fps, and the witcher is about the same, setting are set in high all across, I am stumped........ My specs are on my sig, thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Do you have any components overclocked? If so then return the overclock settings down to default and retry? How did you connect the new monitor to the primary video card.

upgrade your cables to displayport 1.2 for the higher rate I had a lg 34uc97-s that I sent back and using anything less than 1.2 for displayport or 2.0 hdmi drop the fromes which is the hz

sound quit working on my displayport on monitor lg tried to blame my card lol
if came with the cables then use them

Purchased a titan x, problem solved, getting way above 60fps on the metro last light, and around 45 on the witcher 3, both games maxed out.

Now I just need to see if there is some kind of driver hack that will allow me to run free sync with the titan x.
