Howdy everyone,

So, I'm getting paranoid when it comes to my privacy online and I'd like to maybe get into a proxy that will give me torrent (legal people!) and/or VPN surfing and was wondering if anyone used one of these proxies and what were the good/bad points of going through one of these.  One fact that bothers me is that they can pretty much track everything that I do that goes through the proxy. ><

For web browsing I would recommend using TOR (the onion router)
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tor_(anonymity_network)

It can be used for torrents but I would highly recommend against it.

It's way to slow for torrents and you are just slowing down the network for everyone else when you torrent through TOR.

Any commercial VPN/Proxy service will work great for torrenting through but you will have to pay for a service.  Torrents are just too much bandwidth to offer to pass through a VPN/Proxy for free.

BTguard is a popular VPN if you want to remain anonymous on the web.

The italicized sentences above violate the EVGA TOS.   Real smart to post that you download pirated movies.
