I will try my best! :)  Hopefully it will come out like I imagine it.  A lot to put into a small case but Digital Storm did a good job on the design of the case so it shouldn't be that hard.

Thanks!  Still in planning process.  Trying to figure out which pump that I am going to use.  It needs to be low profile but solid.  Currently looking at the Laing DDC series.  I would use a D5 but not enough room for that.

Edit:  Went with the Swiftech MCP35x

Re: Project Ice Bolt 2014/05/30 07:25:52 (permalink)
    Starting off with the case.

I am going to fab up a new front panel.  Already drew it up in Autodesk Inventor.

Cool thing about Autodesk Inventor (Competitor to Solidworks), once I create the sheet medal part, I hit one button and it creates the flat.  Still need to add some holes but the overall profile is done.

Moving on!  Stripped down the case and pulled the guts out.  Need to create a new mobo panel to make this build work the way I want it to.

I cut out a piece of acrylic to mount the mobo onto and also add support for a radiator sandwich.
    :)

Looks like the radiators are going to fit well.

In process of measuring out an area for the res and pump.  Got a good spot for them.

Well, that is it for now.  Will be updating hopefully soon.

Re: Project Ice Bolt 2014/06/12 14:34:02 (permalink)
After getting some other things taken care of, I now can get back onto designing this build.  Today I was able to make some progress on designing a front panel assembly that will sport a new look and give me a place to mount the Res and the pump.  BTW, going to use a different res.  I am using the one that FrozenQ designed for the ncase M1 enclosure.

Had to model a XSPC DDC Top so I can do the proper layout.

Also was able to have the guys over at FrozenQ send me a model file of the Reservoir.  Why model it when it has already been done?

Here is a prototype assembly animation I did to show how it is going to come together.

Okay, got the rad and some fittings.  Today, I made a samich!!

Tight but fits in there as planned

Later today, I will be making the subplate.  The one you see here is for testing and measuring purposes.  Time to pull out the cutting tools and drill.
