Keyboard and mouse is terrible for racing games. I've been using a Xbox controller. I would love to get a steering wheels and pedals, any recommendations for a cheap but still good racing wheel and pedals.

+1 for used G25.  I picked up a new G27 for under $200.  They are almost identical and if you get more into it you can upgrade the pedals/shifter/etc.  They even have cheap spring mods for G25/27 pedals that improve the braking feel.  Make sure you have something solid to mount it to.

I played Gran Turismo games with a controller for years, but once I moved to a wheel it became a whole new experience.  On a bad day with the wheel I am faster than my best lap with a controller.

Thanks for the feedback! I used to have a really crappy steering wheel and pedals for ps1 that i used with gran turismo 2, that was fun. I got rid of it though. When the game progresses more i may think about buying a G25.

What for? get a head start.. a good wheel and pedals make you faster.

2 laps in the Zonda R at Connecticut Hill (Watkins Glen) with 12 AI at 100%
I start in the back and make it to 5th

Trackside

Those are 1080P.. I would post the embedded vimeo clips but because of the aspect ratio I recorded my surround its too small to really see.

Here is a 1080P max one i recorded. MSI still doent capture the complete quality that id like it too. ill tinker to see if i can get better results later. Not sure why it appears so dark either, in game its much brighter.

The amount of detail is astonishing to say the least. Now if EA or another company was in charge they would have ordered this game to be released about a month ago and it would be just another racer.

Tru dat!

You know what they should put in this game, some trucks as well. Got to have some racing trucks like the Ford lighting, Dodge SRT truck, or my most favorite truck every existed the Ford Raptor.

I think its about time for me to join you all and the crew in this game. I am really excited about this game. I am about to buy the full member package. But I have some thoughts about being a Senior member. If I become a full member am I able to upgraded later on to a senior member? I could really give some detailed feed back to help this game out to make it better for us hardcore racing gamers. Racing games is my specialty and its where I belong.

By the way awesome video Will. Cockpit view is my my favorite view as well. I want to get that full feel affect that I am actually in my dream cars.

You are able to upgrade into any package by funding with the difference between the current one and the one you want to go to.

Trucks have been talked alot in the forums by other community members.
And feedback is always welcome :)

I hope they add hundreds of cars including trucks. I want to see a full line up of Vlasic muscle cars, exotic super cars, tuner cars, average cars, race cars, and everything else! I hope they add the ability to change rims too.

OK since you guys for are posting all these vids I'll post this again here. It's an old build, but if you watch it in 1080P with a larger viewer you can see the suspension working in the Zonda near the end of vid. It still looks better on my PC then the youtube

and I'll post this as an incentive for you guys that don't have the game, or even if you do. It is the same old build and people have gone faster now, but still not a bad time..so try and beat it!

Great news everyone, the first Multiplayer testing of Project CARS occured today and it went smooth! The developers invited some members to try with them and discussed the progress with them live through a chat meeting. There were 13 players from US, Asia and Europe all playing together on the same server and there was no visible warping or other major issue like it was expected !
MP Test 2 will be on tomorrow @ 5pm GMT - Check the MP Videos @ the main forums and the newest trailer @ Gametrailers

I've been putting off getting a racing game, because it's just horrible not having a wheel. But within the next two weeks, I'm gonna order my g25 and definetely gonna be getting this game.

totally wish i could afford a G25 or G27 for racing games.  Having recently bought a car that consumes about 95% of my monthly free spending money it would take me ages to be able to afford it :(  i have project cars but would love to have a wheel to go with it.

Tough to get ppl to watch a 22 min vid, WMD and I thank you. I went surround mainly for racing games, it makes a huge difference to me. Hard to express it without being cliche', but I can say I won't go back, in fact, I'm gathering info on going Fanatec and bigger screens.

EDIT: I have some words that explain things for me: occupied peripheral vision
