Hello, I have a problem. I can't flash new modded bios to my card (980ti FTW). I was trying to increase power limit because my card is hitting pretty bad overclock (max 1465MHz on +87mV and +110% power limit). Can somebody help?

1465 on air is actually pretty good.

As far as flashing, is NVflash is throwing out an error for a VBIOS that you modied from your original, try a slightly older version of NVflash. I had a similar problem where I couldn't flash back my original VBIOS on my Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming - using a slightly older NVflash fixed that problem.

You might have to try nvflash --unlock to be able to get it to flash.

It doesn't help with overclocking, still crashing on 1470MHz :V

It rarely does help.

The 980 Ti is very, very temperature sensitive. I can OC my 980 Ti Classified to 1454 on air, but under water and under 45C I can get 1525.

Same goes for my Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming. 1500 under air, but under 45C it can get 1580MHz.

If they get hotter than 50C at those overclocks (both) then CRASH CRASH CRASH!

What OS ?

What Case? number & size of fans, blowing in or out

Room Temp

CPU temp - how is it cooled

GPU Temp

MB Bios version, is it the latest

How is GPU connected to monitor ?

What resolution & refresh rate are you gaming at

OC software like MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision X, should be uninstalled first, then DDU drivers, then reinstall OC software - for best stability

I run DDU, and custom install the EVGA / Nvidia drivers --- Only selecting PhysX and the actual GPU driver, none of the other "stuff" and select clean install. ( I do NOT load GeForce Experience software, Nvidia 3D drivers, Nvidia Sound )

Avoid installing multiple sound drivers.

Either - MB, Sound card or the Nvidia drivers.

If your not pushing sound to your monitor or TV through HDMI, you do not need the drivers from Nvidia.

You can always get a Kraken G10 bracket and an AIO cooler (I use a Kraken X41, but even a lowly Corsair H55 can work for the mid 50C range).

Yet to be brutally honest, you really aren't getting much more out of the card by dropping all that money on watercooling it.

Your 79 C GPU will hurt your performance - throttling

Your case Silentium should have positive air pressure -- more fans in than out

Those ACX coolers place a lot of the heat in the case.

Only what come out of the small round holes behind the grill, is blown out of the case by the GPU

But with positive case air pressure - more heat can flow out through the GPU grill

If your GPU flashed correctly, then no a reflash will not work any magic.

50C at idle is way too high --- unless your GPU is not cutting back from those 1400 speeds -- is the fan running or off - custom curve let it run

However, re-TIM might be helpful.  Sometimes the factory TIM job is not perfect, or a thermal pad could be missing.

Other times it's just a "silicon lottery" world - same part different performance.

If you are not experienced OC a PC - you'll have to read some guides for your MB and GPU.

Basics, get the MB OC stable first

Then try to OC the GPU -- small steps, first adjust the gpu clock offset - find max stable - then pull back about 10%

Then try your mem clock offset -  after you find max --- back off 10%

Resist the urge to throw more voltage at the GPU, it will just get hotter.  When you want to push the OC and add mV - notice your GPU clock will climb also.

You may need to lower your original gpu clock offset to compensate if stability suffers

Your house power needs to be good and stable - or use a UPS to provide clean, filtered and stable power to the PSU - for best stability when OC.

As in every OC -- test, test, test  & have fun

Fans should not be too noise at 50% - 60% - and GPU would be cooler
