I’m having a problem with Splinter Cell Black List and DSR. I engaged it in the NVidia control panel but if I change the resolution to 3840 x 2160 on my Asus 1080p monitor in game it crashes to desktop and resets it to windowed mode and drops the resolution lower on the next play round. So I’m even wondering if the game even supports DSR. Or am I wrong in changing the resolution in game because as I understand DSR is that it down samples to 1080p?

    What are your system specs?

Have you tried a different resolution, like 1440,to see if the same issue persists?

My specs are in my signature and as for the resolution it is 1920x1080 and the next resolution up is 3840 x 2160 there is no 1440, it's either 3840 or 1080 period. Thanks for the reply.

I can't see signatures on mobile, so I apologize for that. I am not sure what would be causing the issue at this point. I haven't turned DSR on yet, as I barely did any gaming this weekend.

well i,m not sure but think u can only use that monitor at 1920 by 1080 at 144hzs. or that is specs on the vg278he it will not work at 2560 by 1440 or 4k eather. the vg27h will only work at 1920 by 1080 and 85hzs . the vg278h is the same and at 120hz they are all 3d 27 inch monitors. the asus pg278q is the best 27inch i know of and it is 3d at 144hzs but only good to 2560 by 1440 and only dig sig.here are specsPowered by NVIDIA G-SYNC Technology and NVIDIA Ultra Low Motion Blur Technology.
    NVIDIA 3D Vision Ready (3D Vision 1 and 2 kit-compatible)

    *WQHD Resulution
    2D mode: 2560x1440 (up to 144Hz)
3D mode: 2560x1440 (up to 120Hz)one titan and one monitor fantastic would play those games killer like.
2D Surround: 7680x1440 (up to 144Hz)this would be 3 of them .and i dont think one single titan can play those games with any fast fps useing 3 of them ?
    3D Surround: 7680x1440 (up to 120Hz)

**Based on EnergyStar 6.0 testing standard                      the 4k monitors that i know of like pb278q is only 60hzs and the pq321q 4k is only 30 hzs and they had a 30 inch 4k 3d that would run at 60hzs dig sig but whin i was looking at the 4k monitors it was over3k us lol to much for me . so i think , unless u have a monitor that i dont know of from asus thin that is why it wont work at 4k . i think if u drop res down to 1920 by 1080 it will fly again .

I don't think you'd want to change your in-game res to anything higher than your native res.  When you activate DSR in the NVCPL, it runs at the higher res and then downsamples it back to your native res.

Enable DSR and run your game with native res.  See how it compares to when you're not using DSR.  You may have to tweak the DSR settings a bit to find what looks best for you.  Might be 20, or 22, 25x, etc...

No....You enable the DSR factors in the Nvidia Control panel.  You then, for games that support higher resolutions, select the resolution in the game menu. The only change for DSR that you can modify in the Nvidia Control Panel, besides checking the boxes for the DSR percentage factors is moving the smoothness slider which is applied globally for whatever application/game you enable DSR including the desktop.

Did you check all the boxes for the DSR factors in the Nvidia Control Panel? There should be 7 from 1.2x your native resolution to 4.0x or 3840 x 2160.

You're right.  Thanks for clarifying.  I've been setting (trying out) DSR though GFE and didn't realize it was changing my in-game res settings automatically to the higher res.

For whatever reason, I've been unable to simply activate DSR globally in the NVCPL.  Still trying to figure out why.

Is there anyway to use the DSR setting and keep a higher refresh rate?  I am using an Overlord tempest overclocked to 118 Mhz.  When I enabled the DSR setting for BF4, it showed up in BF4 as 3480 X 2160 but only at 60 Hz.

Is this just the way it is or am I missing something?

Apparently, some games work and some do not. Borderlands 2 is another title that wants to lock at 60hz. What you might try is setting your desktop (DSR) resolution to the same resolution you will be using in the game prior to starting the game.
