not sure, did a quick google and didn't find anything. It looks like it's part of a blade system though, not a stand alone server. It needs a blade enclosure to operate (as far as I can tell) A4. The BL685c G5 requires the use of a HP BladeSystem Enclosure. For details on server blade enclosures see the HP BladeSystem Enclosures at www.hp.com/go/bladesystem.

Yeap that's just what I was thinking. Oh well looked like a good deal until that. I'll probably just bite the bullet and go G34 if I can still get those 4 CPU's.

man I wish I lived in the States sometimes. Here in Oz, that kind of gear is virtually unobtainable, and when it is, it's very expensive :( .

Good luck with it Wolf. I would too but I do really need to get the supercharger on the Mustang. Spring is here, the car cruise-ins have started. The Mustang club spring track rental is coming up and I would love to go this spring. I just added 400 watts more to the electric meter. Remember it's not just buying this stuff, the electric bill goes up too!!! Good luck with the build. Edit PS: Just a thought. Yes getting new 4P up and online is cool but, I am still waiting to see where the GPU QRB goes. I would be cheaper to buy 3 GPUs and the new ones run at 160 watts or so and may do really really well. I am going to put my tax return $ away and wait and see. And enjoy the summer car season while I still can.

Looks like you got a great deal on both the motherboard and Coolers. What CPU's are you looking at?? I would like to build a G34 this summer, its going to depend on the cost.

600-800 for a MB
somewhere around $2000 bare bones naked folding

Congrats Wolf on the makings of another G34 4P!!   I'll be looking forward to yours and Johnny's upcoming build threads for your new mustangs. I think it is safe to say that EVGA has a real 4P explosion going on these days. That is a component to this team that has needed strengthening for a long time and now the muscle is being built! These are very exciting days for Stanford with people finding a way to add all this new processing power whether GPU or CPU Farm (we need it all). Diseases...be on notice... be vewry afwaid!!!

...and they are not always there either, so strike while the iron is hot if you want 'em. I had checked there a few weeks back (because people here were talking about them) and there weren't any available. They occasionally surface at, or near this price (either at a reseller or via Cooler Master direct. People always seem to scarf them up whenever it happens.

Yea I got one just before midnight saying the order went threw but nothing yet on shipping or anything new. Order Date: 18th Apr 2013 This order is marked as Awaiting Fulfillment Edit is what it still says when I just check at there site. No new email either. normally I don't see any updates on stuff like this until 6pm or so so its still early.

I got another 2, just in case, I upgrade my 2P to 4P in the future..
BTW - These are normally sold out, so pick them up while you still can.. I need 2 last month and ended up pay about $25 + shipping per fan from Ebay.

Mine looked new, maybe a bent fin here or there but other than that they looked new. I'm wondering if they might be discounting these and the reason there are so many all of a sudden. If this happens to be the case this could be the last we see of them like so many other good products you can no longer get.
