Automatic AVX detection is available. Those who has previously added app_info.xml and llravx.exe can now delete/rename these 2 files and just pick up and run any of the Primegrid LLR Subproject and it will automatically download "primegrid_cllr64_3.8.8_dev20120326_windows_x86_64.exe"  (64bits version) or "primegrid_cllr_3.8.8_dev20120316_windows_intelx86.exe" (32bits version).
 
If the above doesn't work, just "Remove" or "Detach" Primegrid from BOINC manager and then re-select the Primegrid project and it should work.
 
By the way, this new 64bits .exe, 2600k @4.0Ghz crunches SGS in about ~450 sec (7.5min). Privious llravx.exe crunches in ~540 sec (9min) and iirc non-avx crunches in ~660 sec (11min).

Anyone has detail instructions of how to install the AVX version (NOTE: ONLY FOR SANDY BRIDGE)? Claimed to run 20%-30% faster. I tried but upon restart I get "Computation Error".

Would be nice if someone with technical knowledge and Sandy Bridge rig to try it out when this challenge is over. That AVX build is compiled from a member of Aggie The Pew (currently 1 team above us). I think we need this AVX build to boost our production in future PrimeGrid Challenges (related to LLR).

I have got the llrAVX working for a while now. To summarize the steps:
