Well if you can guide me to a plug and play program I can throw my 2 GPU's in there for you (only 970s currently) I have to wait for a 8 hour folding project on one to finish though. I can run them to the end of your challenge if that would be of any help at all. Still in the process of building up a box for my 1060s and putting the 970s on water. (awaiting more parts and more money) If the 1060s would be more beneficial I can throw those in and take the 970s out. Testing 1 970 that was a Ebay purchase but have blocks and such ready except for a case.................LMK

HK-Steve as far as I know, they are still broken...not heard anything different.. but even if they were fixed, would not change until after the challenge is finished.. I have not moved from 373.06 on any of my GPU's This is going to come down to the last WU's to see if we can keep 2nd place....
Still on 373.06 on both Windows 7 2012R2(Windows 8.1) and Windows 10. yodap Is your OS Windows 10 if so make sure it is updated and the you install the Driver yourself. The Windows 10 Driver is not installing the Complete Driver like it is missing OpenGL altogether. After a Major Upgrade in Windows 10 I run DDU after I uninstall all of the NVIDIA Drivers and make sure you get the NVIDIA Update removed as well, do not restart your PC Yet. Run DDU and Select to boot into Safe Mode once in safe mode DDU will start up and you can run DDU and allow it to restart. Then Install Driver 373.06. Also make sure your VS Runtimes are up to date BOTH x64 and x86 or 32Bit versions. You can download them from MS Download Site They are a Must for Collatz GPU Tasks. Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86)Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 SP1 Redistributable Package (x64)You can skip 2013 Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 Both x86 and x64. Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 Both x86 and x64. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2977003 2008 - 2015 same as above.

Here is the thread with directions. http://forums.evga.com/In...hingEVGA-m1678975.aspxDL BOINC and install it, you will be asked to choose a project, primegrid is what we are doing. Then you have to join the team, crunching@EVGA. Once set up you go to primegrid site, change preferences, run AP27, make sure you check use GPU scroll down and save settings

I have only been running 373.06 drivers, I have the program loaded up and hoping it is pointed in the correct direction for you folks. Joined the team and set it for AP27 GPU only. Hopefully that is all that needs to be done, the only thing I am waiting on is the Folding project to complete in ~7 hrs. EDIT: As long as it is AP27 does the "task" matter? It shows "The Riesel Problem (Sieve)" Or should it show something else?

You must have GPU Nvidia selected in PG preferences. UnTick CPU taks.... otherwise it automatically selects a cpu project, which you do not want..

Cool howdy2u2, good to have you. bacv, I had already updated to 373.06 before I read your post. It's win10 and I always do a clean install. I normally wouldn't touch a 3rd party driver program with a 10 foot pole but I will look into DDU after the holiday.

WCG has a place in our hearts as well, it is a good project that has had real world results in cancer research. Get some badges and most of all have some fun. Yes "The Riesel Problem (Sieve)" is a CPU Task. You need to turn off running CPU Tasks and uncheck "The Riesel Problem (Sieve)" I will create and past some images.

Remember as Bill said you can still run Both CPU and GPU Tasks. My setup is running GPUs here on PG while my CPUs are running over on WCG <gpu_usage>0.5</gpu_usage> I have gone as low as .3 here but .5 seems better and I ended up at 1 Some Team Members are running 2 or 3 Tasks Per GPU. On my AMD I also run only One Task Per GPU. <cpu_usage>0.5</cpu_usage> I have gone as low as .2 here but .3 seems better and I ended up at .5

I also go into the Computing preferences-> Other section and reduce the "Store at least" and "Store up to..." values to .01 days. I don't like a bunch of WUs hanging around that aren't getting crunched. No impact on performance, just cleaner in my book.

Need to keep it "simple" for now, not that much CPU HP in the machine> 875K and I do not have it OC'd right now. Not saying I wouldn't run it if you folks needed it to help out on a challenge. My main draw back to Folding was the addition of being able to "choose" what projects you would like to place emphasis on with your hardware.

As far as having WUs hanging around. If you are looking for prime numbers, it is important to set that to 0.00 both store at least and the other additional one to 0.00 too Reason is to get credit as founder of the prime, you have to turn yours in first. There is someone else doing that same WU. You want them to turn it in 2nd, they will be the "double-checker" also where it asks for your name, put it in there and check the box to let them report the prime for you. Then your name will be in the book of largest 5000 primes found. Also doing LLR units you want hyperthread off. Doing sieve, HT can be on. In a sieve challenge it is not a bad idea to have a few extra WUs waiting, just in case you lose internet connection. You still have work to do.
