I am in a battle with Sebastian from team Sicituradastra
We are changing spots back and forth every hour.
Guess it will depend on who drops more finished WUs before it ends.
They seem to be a big team and always do quite well in the PG challenges.
Down to just under 3 hours left to go.

I have been watching that!  It has been very close between you and the next place for quite a while.  Too bad it's not as easy to crunch in someone else's name as it is to fold, or I'd switch my systems over to your name for the last WUs.  But, you might want to do it on your own anyway...

I hated to do it, I had no room in the house, I had to put it on the back porch. My wife thinks I am crazy.
Got one on the kitchen table and one in every room.
Also now, I have no more PSUs, but I did have one!
What you say, am I talking about.
A B24 carpet bomber!!!!!  Really, really did not want to fire one of those up. Too warm here for them But.......

I need to find a couple cheap PSUs. I see NewEgg has a EVGA 650G for a good price with rebate.

I have so much cottonwood seed flouting outside it would cause blockage within minutes.

Those cottonwood floaters sure can clog up an a/c unit too.
2 hours to the finish.
Setting some systems to not get new work.

At the Conclusion of the Challenge

We would prefer users "moving on" to finish those tasks they have downloaded, if not then please ABORT the WU's instead of DETACHING, RESETTING, or PAUSING.

ABORTING WU's allows them to be recycled immediately; thus a much faster "clean up" to the end of a Challenge. DETACHING, RESETTING, and PAUSING WU's causes them to remain in limbo until they EXPIRE. Therefore, we must wait until WU's expire to send them out to be completed.

I have one unit at 99.914% for some time now, and 10 hours total. Could that be a possible prime? On that rig they typically take about 3 hours.

It maybe, I found a Mega prime a few weeks ago and it did not take that long though. If I remember right, not much longer than normal.
Still, I would let it go just in case. I hope it is prime and drops in time for the challenge.
Fingers crossed!!!

EDIT:
I just looked at my Mega prime.

E5-2670 0 @ 2.60GHz with 32GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 36minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.

It's in the history books folks.
Great job everyone!!!

Final statistics:

Challenge: Summer Solstice
App: 21 (PPS-Mega)
(As of 2016-06-25 22:38:01 UTC)

423586 tasks have been sent out. [CPU/GPU/anonymous_platform: 420076 (99%) / 0 (0%) / 3510 (1%)]

Of those tasks that have been sent out:

40590 (10%) came back with some kind of an error. [40552 (10%) / 0 (0%) / 38 (0%)]
307945 (73%) have returned a successful result. [304599 (72%) / 0 (0%) / 3346 (1%)]
74714 (18%) are still in progress. [74598 (18%) / 0 (0%) / 116 (0%)]

Of the tasks that have been returned successfully:

55287 (18%) are pending validation. [54521 (18%) / 0 (0%) / 748 (0%)]
251839 (82%) have been successfully validated. [249262 (81%) / 0 (0%) / 2595 (1%)]
474 (0%) were invalid. [473 (0%) / 0 (0%) / 1 (0%)]
345 (0%) are inconclusive. [343 (0%) / 0 (0%) / 2 (0%)]

Thank you all for an absolutely tremendous challenge! Participation was amazing, but the really impressive statistic is, of course, the number of primes that were found. Six! Absolutely amazing. Great job everyone, and congratulations to the six of you on discovering a mega prime!!!

I'm glad the challenge went well.  Not sure why people don't finish the tasks they downloaded though.  I just tell my client to stop downloading new tasks and let the units play themselves out.

I finished some after it was over and some I aborted and sent back.
Unlike folding WUs, the WUs get sent out right away to other crunchers, so it does not hurt the project like folding.
With folding the WUs have to time out and then they are sent back out. It can delay the sequence and harm the project depending how many times in a row it times out.
I had so many systems running and it is getting hot here again. So after the challenge is over some are going back.
Can't wait to see this electric bill .

I do or I did but my settings are set to 0.04 and 0.02 so it only downloads what can run and then at about 94% it will then download another set to start.

Remember to that when you abort a task in BOINC it is put back in the Pool for someone else to run Un-Like Folding Tasks.

Ah, that makes sense.  I only have the one PC, 1 Laptop and the 1 Nexus 10.  My power bill is relatively low compared to you guys.  Folding puts the heat out in my current setup.
