The EVGA crunching team is in the 4th primegrid challenge of the year 2016. It is an all CPU challenge lasting 5 days. Have some extra CPU threads sitting idle and want to put them to use, join in the fun. If you never ran BOINC or never chrunched primegrid, there is pleanty of help in the crunching BOINC section of the EVGA forum. http://www.primegrid.com/forum_thread.php?id=6839#95799 The challenge will begin 20 June 2016 22:34 UTC and end 25 June 2016 22:34 UTC Five days long. This is a CPU only challenge, running PPS MEGA Prime. HT off for these work units. I would keep the setting at 0.01 days work and an additional days work at 0.01 as well. You do not want to keep work on your drive waiting to be completed. DL WU, crunch it, turn it in and get another WU to crunch. Newer CPUs with AVX will work very well, watch your overclocks and your CPU temps. High overclock running primegrid may make your CPU run warm. Check temps for a while and see how cools yours stays. Remember to keep a core free for each GPU you fold with. http://forums.evga.com/Pr...e-2025th-m2496764.aspx

I'm getting 2hr runtime in these units. I have my system setup to download .1 days of work, so I rarely get a queue of tasks.

That's the way to do it. Thanks for joining in.

I hit the ground running but I see we have some multi-p crunchers already on it!

Well with 2 days and 9 hours left as of this post crunching @ EVGA is in a comfortable place. SETI Germany is way ahead of us and we have gained some space between ourselves and Duke University aka Scott Brown. Not Bad. Keep up the good work RAH RAH and all that!! BTW - BILL1024, is there any way you can increase your output in this challenge? jk Nice job team!

Not True at All, the response you are thinking is way off target from what our Team does. Our Team Crunching @ EVGA has a side team called Mining@EVGA for those who want to run the BOINC Mining Projects like Bitcoin Utopia. Most Bitcoin Mining Programs are NOT BOINC Based or approved under BOINC. Under [Distributed Computing] you may want to review Crunching@EVGA and Cryptocurrency Forum Sections. For more reading you can review the below websites: We are not about Money or the Coin.

bcavnaugh Yep! Title Changed
Thanks to all that participated in this year's Summer Solstice Primegrid Challenge!!! A valiant effort by all and some serious heat added near the end by Bill1024 and bcavnaugh! The commitment did not go unnoticed by those that stayed with it until the end. I thought I might catch Yodap (silly me) but it was a great effort by the EVGA crunchers!! I hope some of you took the time to check out the arsenal AggiethePew had at their disposal. Cheers!!
