I have a brand new rig running an EVGA FTW 1070 and whenever I try to run Precision XOC it just crashes after about 15-20 seconds meaning that I can't use it. Other OC software like MSI afterburner works fine but I'd rather use Precision out of personal preference. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've just updated my mods rigs with as much info as I have, I'm only running the default bios for everything and every component is less than a week old.

dansixx Windows 10 Pro
32 Bit or 64 Bit? Is the OS Updated with all the Current Updates AND Upgrades? Is the Windows 10 anniversary update installed? All the Motherboard Chipset Software Drivers install and so on? Did you install the Video Drivers or did Windows?

The OS is completely up to date and I installed the drivers directly from NVidia

When you installed EVGA Precision XOC did you run as administrator when you installed it? Is the version of EVGA Precision XOC 6.0.8?

Nothing at all. Also XOC does recognise my card and displays any changes I've made in afterburner, and will even let me make changes, but regardless of if I make a change or not it just "encounters an unexpected error" in less than a minute and closes itself

Not sure but I do not think you can run both tools at the same time.

I wonder if your CPU is holding it back?

I originally ran XOC by itself and when it was crashing I installed Afterburner

The problems you are describing are common with Precision X (or whatever version). I know loads of people that now use Afterburner because it is way more stable.

Takes a lot of work going back and forth, maybe Madmaxneo can take over

By sheer fluke I managed to get the software to stay open (steam version, not sure if that matters as I've had the exact same problem with it in the past)... but my first overclock caused my GPU to crash instantly. But hey, at least the software worked
