I have the latest precision x version and just downloaded Windows 10 that came out today. Battlefield 4 crashes before the game even starts. As soon as I terminate precision x from running BF4 works just fine. Please show this attention! EDIT: I have reverted precision x one version back from the latest and now BF4 and "so far" all other games run fine.

I think it is related to punkbuster. I have not been able to get any 3rd party FPS monitoring software to work in Bf4 without crashing. I tired Fraps/Afterburner/PrecisionX and they have all crashed it for me.
The only thing that works for me is HWmonitor in the background plus the "perfoverlay.drawfps 1" command in game.

Precision X is currently bugged and I am sure EVGA is working on it. For the time being I would disable the software and use another program like MSI Afterburner for the time being if you find it nescasary.

Im currently using the steam version and it updated itself about a week ago and now it crashes several of my games. Each game it crashes, the crash occours differently but the same each time. If I exit out of Precision X then my games works fine. For example, ARMA3 gives me a memory error whereas CS:GO crashes into a 200x50 box in the middle of my screen that is unresponsive.

Dumb question...You had Precision installed on (C:), right? If yes, then I don't know...Precision X is very flakey, and only wants to work when it wants to work. This is going to sound really stupid, also, but maybe Precision X not only needs to be installed on C, but maybe the hdd cable must be plugged into the 1st Sata port. This sounds dumb, but I'm only trying to throw the craziest ideas out in hopes you find something. You're obviously using MSI afterburner, so that's probably the way to go anyway. Possibly the registry? It could be anything to be the solution. Though, I'm going to speculate that I will probably start having issues once I put Windows 10 on due to compatibility issues.

It's installed to a diffrient drive, but I've had Precision X since January and have never had an issue until I saw the news on the update through EVGA's home page. I assume Steam updated it for me at some point and so it's the new update causing the issue. I'm not using MSI Afterburner as I don't have a need for it.

It's probably Windows 10 then. If you're willing, remove precision from your computer entirely, and then install Precision on the main hard drive that the operating system is on. See what happens...

Evga Precisionx was working fine in BF4 until I enabled OSD at which point I had to completely exit PrecisionX just to load the game otherwise BF4 will not load in multiplayer or campaign.

Yeah, just make sure you turn off OSD first then exit Precisionx and turn it back on, then play Bf4 or Ps2. I did notice it didn't work in Planetside 2 also. I figured it was OSD because everything was working fine until I enabled it.

I'm having most of my games crash also, sucks because this is my first Nvidia card, and the most money i've spent on one. So far it seems precision crashes games and also chrome on windows 10 64 EVGA 970gtx ssc acx 2.0+ Was reading that the bios had switches to run the fans all the time instead of the 60c tried using diff combo of switches resulting in no fan difference. Maybe i'm doing something wrong but if I turn of precision the fans don't turn on at all and temps go to 77c before I turned precision back on. If anyone knows more about fans in the diff bios settings on 2 switches on and off. Going to try MSI afterburner, just ticks me off because my Radeon card had zero issues with windows 10 upgrade, and this was suppose to be an upgrade, if anyone knwos a fix hit me up, really thinking about trading this for the r9 390 now.
