Title says it all. Just got my GTX 980 classified in the mail, fired up precision x, found overclock. Then decided to try overvoltage because, why the hell not. I have 3 buttons, Overvoltage, Overboost and KBoost. If I click on overvoltage and turn the slider up to +37mV which is the max, nothing happens. It just stays at 1.212. If I click Overboost and hit apply nothing happens, but if i turn the slider up on overboost it changes to 1150mV and the voltage starts to jump up and down, and if I slide it up any further it jumps to over 1.4 volts. Obviously freaks me out and i have to disable it. Am i doing something wrong or what? I don't freaking want crazy voltages destroying my card. I 'm not going to do it and take a screen shot but believe me it jumps to 1.4 or higher voltage. I am only wanting the minimum voltage, like 1.25 or maybe 1.3 for benching.

Dont quote me on this but pretty sure the classy cards are able to handle higher voltages than reference 980s. Seen ppl on forums use 1.3-1.4 fine on air but i personally have not as it was not needed for my card. On a reference model i would say dont do it but ya, classified cards a whole other breed and higher voltages are fine from what i read, how high is safe is another question.

That is not my problem. The problem i'm having is. I can't set the voltage to something small like 1.25. It just shoots up to 1.399 or 1.4 when i click on overboost and click apply. There's no way to drop the voltage. I'm thoroughly perplexed. Might have to call EVGA tomorrow and see if they can figure it out. Without a video showing what it's doing it's hard to understand what i'm asking.
