I've been having trouble running BF1 due to random spikes in CPU usage.
I'm running a i5-4690k at 4.11 GHz with water cooling, and while playing BF1, my CPU runs at around ~90%. But about every three or four seconds my CPU spikes to 100% causing my game to MASSIVELY hitch.
 
I started doing some inspecting and after opening Resource Monitor, found that the PrecisionXServer.exe process appears to be causing the problem. It seems to use an average of 10~11 threads consistently, but as already mentioned, spikes in CPU usage from zero to twenty five percent at will.
I can confirm that this is the problem as when I suspend said process, the spiking behavior completely disappears. 
 
Is there any way to fix this? Or is this a bug with the software?
 
In the meantime, I've had to switch back to MSi afterburner to OC my card.

You should seriously just stick with MSI Afterburner. I do so love my EVGA products but their software is horrible.

I think I'm going to have to for the time being. 
I was using Precision X just because I prefer the UI of it over that of Afterburner's but for now, I'll take the stable performance.

They have various skins for Afterburner and I think one similar to the Precision X comes with the base unit. If you go into settings in the Afterburner program then go to the last tab you will find the different skins there. 

Yeah, I've got a blue skin on it right now.
