Corsair, Antec, Seasonic, XFX. Can't go wrong with any of those, I listed them in the order I would buy them in. I am partial to the Corsair AX series.

I was going to upgrade my ram to Corsair awhile ago, but I just got a new computer and don't really need to upgrade anything, but get a Video Card and a bigger Power Supply. Do I have to worry about getting a certain Power Supply? Besides of course fitting my case.. Thank you!

The Corsair AX series is a series of there PSU's. They are the second best next to the Antec TPQ PSU's. I choose Corsair for the warranty. I think Seasonic makes Corsairs PSU's, not sure. If you buy a cheap PSU, it could do more harm than good to your wallet. It is the last item you want to go cheap on.

What do you think of this? Corsair HX1000W Desktop Power Supply (CMPSU-1000X) Only problem I have, is it going to work with components?

It will work, but it's starting to get outdated. It is really only two 500W PSU's put together. When it comes to recommending what you need, we have to know what you plan to power with it now and in possibly in the future.

I want to get a good video card, I'm sure 600+ will do, but mise well go big so down the road I wont have to upgrade. I don't really play any game that takes a lot, but just on case that day comes, I want to be prepared for it. If you understand. I'm set on everything else, besides a Video Card, but a 430 PSU isn't good enough. My Specs (Copy & Pasted): Zalman - z9 Plus case MSI h55-g43 motherboard based on Intel H55 chipset 4gb ddr3 core i3 500gb wd blue hard drive 24x dvd burner win7 Ultimate

The Corsair AX850W PSU would be my recommendation. Should be plenty big for what you plan to do now and in the future if you plan to upgrade unless you think about about going SLI. Also unlike the HX1000 the AX850 is a far better unit as far as Ripple Suppression and Power Efficiency. You could probably even do the Corsair AX750 with no issue seeing as how you are not powering much at all. Not sure what the H55 has as far as SLI capabilities though but you would have to have a fast CPU to see any gains from SLI anyways. If you want to go really big can go with the Antec TPQ 1200W or Corsair AX1200W which are the top PSU's out there right now. That is over kill though for such a small system.

I don't know much about Hardware what so ever, just Software, the internet and what not. All I know is it's a Quad Core at 3.6 Ghz. When I do that "Can You Run It?" under Bad Company 2 (which takes a lot to run so it sems), it says it tops it out with no problems. Besides that I need a video card.

A review from JonnyGuru. Only person I go to on PSU reviews. http://www.jonnyguru.com/...;op=Story&reid=184
It's not nessarly so much an issue, I just have a hard time wanting to dump money into a computer for some odd stupid reason. I'm not a hardcore gamer, nor really even play that much. I play Counter-Strike and that's it, I get bored of it fast since I've been playing it since Beta Testing. The one from NewEgg seems to have problems with being loud and annoying, also dying after so long. I have my computer running 24/7 constantly. Thank you for the link! :D

I listed an HX Corsair as the first one. :D It's a 620w though and hella cheap on E-bay.

I heard Thermaltake and Coolermaster were good, but my bigger brother isn't all that great with computers like you people would be and what not. What about AMD? I don't like them, but just curious.

I'm probably going to go with Corsair, actually I know I will, unless I decide not to upgrade. LoL Usually always best to go with the longer warranty ones. It's the same thing with DDMTuning HID Kit. Thank you everyone!

Not sure if I mentioned this or not, but my computer is on 24/7. 650 is said to come with a 7 Year Warranty from CorsAir. Edit: The 850 that's ending in like 5 hours said "Yes I purchased this 2/2010 and it came with a 7 year warranty, so there is 6 years left on the warranty." "Yes it is transferrable. I will have to give you the invoice. Very worth it, these power supplies are the best in the business. I purchased a 1200 watt Corsair, so I am selling this one."
