I have the 1070 SC.  Yesterday, I had the core clock maxed out at 2113 and the memory up to 2300 but had to leave for work and haven't tried anymore since.

I haven't done too much messing around so far, but I'm very pleased with the card. The above clocks are done without touching the voltage at all. More impressively, I'm seeing a max temp of about 60-61C under load(68F ambient) with Heaven looping and a custom fan curve.

That's some high OC on air. Can you also post your fan curve?

What overclocking software are you guys using? I messed around with the new precision and can't seem to get my 1080 FTW past 2050 (5400 mem) without crashing on firestrike ultra

I did my first overclock of my 1080 SC today, got 2088 on the core and 5500 on the memory. It remained stable and below 60°C.

With a some voltage tweaking I think I can get a higher core clock.

Well, Gerald (a 1080 SC) has so far performed well at stock, and with a generic +150/+100 overclock. I tried +200 just for the heck of it and got a driver crash. I took no special steps to try to make it work. I may or may not put more effort into it. I didn't quite peg Doom at 60 fps, so I may try a little bit more than this so I avoid any tearing. Some of my older games (like Skyrim) pegged 60 fps at 4K res with only like 35% gpu utilization, LOL. The Division is right around 60 fps or thereabouts at 4K rez and High quality settings. I'm pretty happy with it, to say the least!

Hello guys . This post is for the owners of the card below. Im really interested on sharing overclock results to compare.

    Thanks in advance.

    My Results :

I totally recommend skip Precision X and use the MSI beta . Is way better .
No voltage overclock needed - Seriously card wont go higher and voltage OC did not make a difference. At least for me
    Here are my Overclock values:
    Core Voltage : No OC
    Power Limit: 120
    Temp Limit: 92
    Core Clock : +180
    Memory Clock +550
    Fan Speed : Curve setup
    Fire Strike Score : 18 890
    Fire Strike Graphic Score : 24 800

Man.. Even worse than I thought.... I can get like +100 (1821).. That's it... For an FTW that I paid 750.00 for and it's garbage.. I'm done with EVGA.. That's it.. Final straw.. I don't even want this anymore.. Should of stayed with my 980..

    Removed vulgar acronym

Post GPU-Z screen shots with the sensors tab open.

Not surprised to see you upset. We try to warn everyone that you can't always get the perfect overclocker. The die on a founders edition, an sc, an ftw, and Classified all come out of the same pile. Evga only guarantees the factory overclock, and can never guarantee the end user overclocks.

P.s, the FTW is cheaper than the founder edition. Not to mention, it has RGB, which is what you are essentially paying extra over the SC for.

Any extra from the included OC is considered a bonus, sometimes it's BIG and sometimes it's small. You win some and you lose some. No need to bash EVGA when they guaranteed nuthin ova what the card came initially clocked @. Oc'n Pascal seems to be not so rewardin to begin w/.  Is minus 3-10 extra FPS in (Games) really soo bad?

EVGA GTX 1080 SC w/ EK Waterblock

Highest I could go and still get 100% stability was a max core clock of 2151MHz, and Memory at 5500MHz.  Voltage set to 120% to get stable at those target frequencies.

Really impressed with the temps when using a waterblock. After an hour of running various benchmarks and stress tests, GPU temp never climbed above 40C.

2138/5500 perfectly stable here with the 1080 SC. Actually 2151 was stable as well but I backed it down one boost bin. 2164MHz saw a few random driver hickups.

Just slapped an EK block and backplate on a few days ago. While it did not raise max clocks, it definetly stabilized some of the throttling. Most aps now stay full time at 2138MHz with a very occasional drop to 2124MHz. The lone exception being 3D Mark benches/stress tests. The throttle remains on that because of the power draw cap.  Perhaps when there is a pascal bios editor out I can tinker with a power draw bios mod.

Until then I'm overall pretty happy with this card.

Just wanted to add a few of the benchmarks that I did after overclocking my GPU. The highest I was able to get and be 100% stable on the EVGA GTX 1080 SC, was a core clock of 2151MHz and Memory at 5500MHz.  That’s not overly impressive compared to other GPUs in the past, but apparently the Pascal series cards already come out towards the peak of their frequency threshold. Even then, a 24% core clock increase over reference 1080 cards isn’t too shabby, especially being that my GPU temps have yet to rise above 40C.

Once I had the CPU and GPU OC’d, it was time to throw some benchmarks and games at it.

Well using my GTX780 as a base and upgrading to a GTX 1080 FTW, both straight out of the box without any OC I got these scores. Also Driver version 6839.

    GTX 780
    Firestrike 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8970888

    Firestrike Extreme 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8971122

    Firestrike Ultra 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/8970594

And now with the upgrade to a GTX 1080 FTW from Evga, no tweaking.
    Firestrike 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9013445

    Firestrike Extreme 1.1: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9013523

    Firestrike Ultra 1.1 : http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9013613

I am happy with the results!

    GTX 1080 SC

Max stable core clock: 2101 MHz @ 100% voltage

If I go up to 2113 MHz, heaven benchmark gets very colorful then crashes. Not the best but I can't complain. Oh, and my card is liquid cooled so that really didn't help, but at least it looks sweet in my loop.

So from what I hear, clicking the Manual button in Precision seems to be some of the most stable clocks.

Doing so will get me through my Firestrike tests, but will ultimately crash out in Project Cars VR, Doom, etc. I have to keep it ~1950 for actual gaming. Would love to see some of your settings in the application.

How does liquid cooling not help? It keeps your GPU from throttling itself to lower clocks. I'm air cooled and I can't get above 2050 Mhz
