Yeh... servers issues at Stanford, they seem to have power outages due to bad weather. I'm watching and re-starting 12 GPU clients for the past hours and what did work for me is setting the -advmethods flag (I'm still running the V6 client) to get work again. If you already have this flag set and can not get work, you could try to get work without this flag. (Edit: If you're running beta WUs, removing the beta flag could also work). Don't have much time, there is another GPU client that needs some attention.

I hear you - I had two dow. For about an hour or two because of connection issues. Is it me or does it seem to be more frequent (since we started the contest).

I'm not sure that I fully understand your problem, Beamer.
Are you talking about getting Project 8043 or 807x (3874 points) WU's instead of Project 762x (14093 points) WU's ?
I sometimes get P762x WU's for almost a week and then P807x/P8043 WU's another week.

Sorry guys and gals .shut 1 comp down tell I have time to figure out why 2600k@4.2 was only getting 8 k ppd.Going to reinstall tracker EDIT got it up and running 18kppd lot better then 8 k. Think when servers went down it messed up tracker I had to reinstall it on all 3 computer. Lets do this WFO

bobc - you do a couple of jumping jacks with that Metamucil and you're gonna break that 1MM.  Well done! And, I've been getting a steady stream of 80xx units on my GPU's. It's brought my overall PPD down about 10-15k over the last couple of days. Thankfully, everything has stayed in the "cool" range (for me anyway) - not going past 70 C on my 580's (which I was concerned with since they are stacked on top of each other AND on air). Fold on!

These A4 units are killing my 2500K and 2600K ppd, sorry team but my estimated PPD I entered for the contest is gonna be falling behind

I'm with you, Nite. Between the SMP and GPU units I keep getting, my average PPD has dropped by 10%. They're nice on the one hand because they seem to run a slight bit cooler - but with the windows open - I don't care (as much). It's a "balmy" 15.5 C in my office. I'd rather have the higher PPD WU's that run a bit warmer. I'd be ok with that.

Use the advanced for GPU and remove the beta for smp for v7 should get better PPD WU's

Thanks, Wolf. Added the GPU flags. I also upped my OC a touch - dropped my TPF across all three cards by 8 seconds (each) and increased my PPD by 10k. Temps aren't too bad either - just up by 1.5 - 2 degrees. I'll take that. Need to wait until the next WU's pop in to see if I get out of these 80xx units.

Sry all been very busy with work. To the problem I am haveing is that for 1 weeks I been pulling about 14k per GPU and 10k for CPU and now that where in the Comp I have been pulling 3874 per GPU and 2k for CPU. I was wouldering if I got some bad WU causeing this or just the luck of the draw due to ppd are way down.

Ok, Pimps, that was awesome! We didn't make it into the upper tier, but we managed to keep it pretty darned exciting the entire run! Nothing quite like starting of FIRMLY in the bottom of the heap and climbing out by hook and by crook!!
