Well, our 'boomer' has yet to drop, but I'm confident in our mad Pimp skills, as always! Also, I found I have a non-responsive machine in my hoard, but can't get to it physically until Monday morning. Likely a simple reboot and that one will be back in production. And crezno - You do what you need to do - As has been said, family first and foremost. Take care of them and then we'll expect to see you when you can be here.

And not to double post, but I'm going to anyway - My main rig is down - Not sure the extent, but it rebooted, no network, and I can't see one of the drives on it. Trying to analyze it step by step, but in the process have discovered one of the drives isn't being seen by the HDD - And I needed that drive to function as a backup boot to see if it is hardware or software. *laughs* Wish me luck!

Maybe troy can adjust the points value on him to fix this?

Well, I'm down half of my ppd for at least a day until I can get a PCIE network card. Looks like there's a common issue with the onboard network card on this motherboard. Woo freaking hoo... But, at least it should be a simple fix.

I just RMA'd a GTX 470 and getting a GTX 480 in retun soon, should be here Tuesday, Fan will be loud on it too I bet I won't fold on it for very long though, it will only be temporary until I get my 2.56GB GTX 570 RMA'd as well. currently the 2.56GB GTX 570 works for folding so I'm using it now on the contest, but it keeps giving me black screen crashes in games.

It's one of the reasons I will only be using that card temporary, another is because of the power usage of it. edit: Well I have the GTX 480 installed and surprising its not as hot and loud as I expected.... @ Drougnor, Sorry to hear that you're having a problem with your onboard network. I know that you're a very busy man, but I hope that you will be able to fix this soon. @ Crezno, Good to see that you could catch up again! @ Bobc36, Let's hope that you're getting P8103 WUs and can catch up. @ Audiomurphy, Sorry to hear that you're having problems, I hope that it will keep running now. @ Everyone, Troy is aware that teammembers are throttled despite that our team is underproducing, but he has limited free time and he will work on this. So please don't let this hold you back or discourage you, because we have some catching up to do. Being last at the beginning of the contest is nothing new for the Pimps, anyone remember last year? We worked hard and got back to the top. So we have some work to do and try to get in the top 4 in next ten days, before the next round of single elimination playoffs begins. Fold On Pimps !!!

@Dutch - Thanks! Luckily, I was able to track down a card that fits the bill, but now must wait until I get home to install it. Already have appropriate drivers downloaded to my USB Key. And, as DutchForce pointed out, this isn't new territory for us. This is the time we buckle down and find every spare resource we can and kick it up a few dozen notches. My firm belief is that we can do what we did last year, pull out into the lead and THIS time, we can hold it!! We don't have anything to prove - It's the OTHERS who have to prove us wrong!! My Pimp hand is strong! I shall Layeth the SMACK DOWN on all who oppose us! Who's with me??

Fellow Foldin Pimps - I find myself in a bit of a quandry. On my main rig, I fold overnight - usually one SMP - set it to finish after it starts the WU. Anyway - started it up tonight and it is hung up in the download stage. The log states "Failed to connect to 171.67.108.60; No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." I assume that there is a server down at Standford. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm going to let it go, and if I wake up at some point in the middle of the night I'll come down and check on it, and see if it has downloaded anything.

bobalee - what client are you using? And to the rest of you, I'm looking over Troy's offers over the points ( http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1878171) and want to know your input? I can see a few folks that will greatly benefit us by being unleashed. So, which of the two, and how would you spread the points? Also, just so you know my current PoV - Yeah, we may be losing and it would help us out to change it, but I just noticed we've slimmed our margin between us and the Prophets. If we leave things as is and keep on producing our buts off, we could be seeing a repeat of last years rise through the ranks, but it is still early days. So, please, weigh all three and let me know.

I'm using the V7 client (original) on that particular rig. It did connect at some point over night and downloaded a WU. I did notice, in another threat, someone else was having the same (or similar) issue. Also, when I checked it this morning, the client said it was a 99.99% but HFM said it was only 36%. When I got my other monitors on, I noticed that the client had stopped unexpectedly. I ended up having to restart and then start the client/WU back up. I've checked it remotely a couple of times this morning and all seems well - although, EOC is showing zero points overnight.
