staypuft Carlitos714 I do have -advmethods and gpu3 checked. I tried to re-install the drivers and I am still getting the same thing! What drivers are you using? Check your GPU clocks and usage while folding to see if they are correct and 99%+. You might consider a driver rollback to 285.62 just as a test. This has been the most reliable driver for me. +66.73 lead... keep'em going folks. I am using 295.73 drivers. clocks are GTX 470 (840 mhz) Main display GTX 470 (840 mhz) GTX 580 (825 mzh) all are 99% usage downloading 285.62 drivers right now

staypuft What are the WU numbers on those three cards? all 8031. when I had 3 gtx 470's (two days ago) the two cards at 840mhz where getting 20k each and the other gtx 570 was getting something like 18k. when I switched out one gtx 470 for a gtx 580 the two gtx 470 dropped to 14k @ 840mhz. I tried lowering the clocks on the gtx 470's and it just drops in points. the overclock on those card are stable btw I have smp @ -7. I thought that perhaps the gtx 580 was affecting the ppd production somehow. so i lowered the smp to -6. nothing really changed. this has me going crazy. thinking of taking out the gtx 580 and putting back the gtx 470, but I dont want the gtx 580 just sitting here so, I gonna head out to frys to find something to help me out power it on my psu. Like I said before, the psu in my second rig (in sig) has 4x 6 pin pci express power connectors. I had to use two on one of those 8 pin adapters and then use a 6 pin. So that leaves me with 1 pci express power connector. I used that last connector and a 2x molex to 6 pin adapter to power the other gtx 470 (the one that was in my rig b4). So basically what I want to do is put both gtx 580's together and all gtx 470 together, but I simply can't because there is not enough power connectors on my SuperMicro PWS-865-PQ 865W psu. i am off to fry's. I could be producing an additional 12k if I had it set up the way I wanted. we need it right now :)

Hey carlitos, are you folding with your CPU at the same time as your GPUs? Also you wouldnt happen to have SLI enabled while folding? At the OC you have your 470's at, and the OC you had the 580 at, if folding witht he CPU too, I wouldnt be surprised if you were hitting the wattage cap. Are you using the newest beta version of afterburner to monitor the clock speeds of the cards when they are getting 14k? I currently have my 570's at stock clock speeds of 732, and they are pushing 20.5k consistently across all 3 cards. When I OC them to 800, they do 22.5k and at 900, they do right around 25k to 25.5k. Also, I have been running the 2600K OC to 4.5Ghz as well, and when the 570s are OC to 900Mhz, according to my Kill-A-Watt unit, its taking 1100-1150 Watts from the wall. Which means it only has about 150 Watts to spare before it is at 100%. It could be throttling. The 570 vs the 470, other than the 32 more cores, the main difference was the efficiency of the power units on the PCB. The 470 lost alot of power in heat, which means, to get the same performance as a 570, it would be using many more watts than mine when they are OC higher. If you have another PSU, do you have another system to drop those 580's in? Cuz they would push like 25k by themselves easy with an OC if they were running at full speed. Also, do you know what your motherboard PCI-E runs at with three cards in there? Maybe the bandwidth is getting jacked up when you mix and match.

Also, do you know what your motherboard PCI-E runs at with three cards in there? Maybe the bandwidth is getting jacked up when you mix and match. yes, cup is folding too @ 4.1 ghz yes, sli is Disabled. it could possible be hitting a cap. I tested out the gtx 580 in my htpc with the cpu folding too. I was seeing 510 watts. with the gtx 470 it was at 390. So a 20 watt difference. I am using afterburner 2.1.0. Afterburner showed the correct speeds. EVGA precision did too. I switched out the gtx 580 for the gtx 470. clocks on the 3 cards are 840 mhz, 840 mhz and 700mhz, i7-920 @ 4.1ghz and I am reading 1135 watts on my kill-a-watt. with the gtx 580 it should have been hitting 20 watts more. I also tried to lower the clocks on the gtx 470's and the ppd was still crappy. One thing I did notice is when I had the 580 in there, I was only pulling about 850-900 watts. Something was not right. I also tried smp -6 vs what I am normally running smp-7 and nothing changed. I had the card setup like this evga classified e760 slot 1 gtx 470 slot 2 gtx 470 slot 4 gtx 580 maybe the bandwidth was killing it, dont know. I think all card would be running at 8x except the 1 slot right (x16)? anyhow, I already pulled out the gtx 580 and put the gtx 470 in there. All cards gtx 470's are running 20.8 k, 21 k, 17.5 k I put the gtx 580 on my other rig. I have two gtx 580 in there each pulling 25k a piece with an i7-920 @ 3.8ghz. I am good now. thank you for taking the time to help me

From my own experience I've always had (under-performing) problems when I mixed GPU's. I've built two dedicated GPU folding rigs almost 2 years ago, and I wanted to run 2x GTS450 and 2x GTX460 on the same mobo, to have a better balance for my PSU. But the GTS450 were under-performing, so I put 4x GTS450 in one system and 4x GTX460 in the other and they all perform as it should (only folding on the GPU's). I also have a system running for this contest with a single GTX570 and I've added an GTX560 Ti one day later, because I was below my projected PPD with the new P803x WU's. The GTX570 PPD stayed the same, but the GTX560 Ti is under-performing. The GTX560 Ti PPD is 16.5K (850MHz, P8031/32 WU's), but I also have 3x GTX560 Ti's running on another dedicated folding rig with a PPD of 18.5K (the same clockspeed and WU's). All my PSU's are Corsair 850 Watt (HX and AX serie), which is more than enough for these rigs/cards.

On one GTX 580 I used a two 6 pin to 8 pin connector adapter and then hook up one of the 6 pin connector to the first card. that left me with one 6 pin connector. So I took my butt over to frys and got a 2 molex to 8 pin adapter so that made it work
