Tom's Hardware recently posted an article showing them modifying a GTX750Ti to be a true single slot low profile version by using of all things a heatsink from an AMD FirePro V3900 video card...lmao.  But, it really worked!  Here's the link to the article:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/single-slot-geforce-gtx-750-ti,3761.html

With this article in hand, one wonders why not one graphics card manufacturer has released a single slot solution?  It's definitely NOT because of heat or power limitations.  If you conduct a search on Google, several people are asking when a single slot GTX750 or GTX750Ti is going to be made available.  That's my question as well.  My hope is to spark the flame that gets EVGA to become the first to the market with a single slot low profile GTX750!  I know that I have a particular requirement for a more powerful single slot low profile card and would buy one in a heartbeat should it ever become available for purchase.  Currently, my only option is to use a GT640 1GB DDR5 card

Remember, the key idea is for the card to be a true single slot low profile solution.  That means the card's heatsink (passive or active) can NOT protrude beyond the standard width of a single slot of 0.8 inches (~2cm).  The reason why I need to point this out is because a lot of folks go to start looking on different websites and think they have found a single slot GTX750, but then find out that actually, the card bracket and heatsink itself have the height of a regular double slot card that could not be seen from the top down view.

So, please share your thoughts and tell me if a single slot low profile GTX750 and/or GTX750Ti would be a good product for EVGA to make and provide to the customer!

Actually we have been looking into this as well for a while. Although GPU temps are important, other components need to be evaluated as well to make sure they don't fall out of spec. Like PWM.

That is awesome.  I am looking forward to seeing EVGA's solution for a single slot GTX750/750Ti.  I am confident it will be a solid performer!

Jacob, thanks for the fast reply - that is outstanding news!  When EVGA does announce the slim GTX750Ti, I will be one of the first in line to buy two :-)

As for the stability of other graphics components (i.e. PWM, memory modules, etc), I noticed that when the GPU heatsink was removed from the OEM GTX750Ti that only the GPU was being actively cooled.  Granted, the flow from the fan provides air circulation to the other components on the card, but none of them had direct contact with the GPU heatsink (pic below courtesy of Tom's Hardware website).  This is the reason why I believe the conversion of existing GTX750 and GTX750 Ti PCBs to accommodate single slot and single slot low profile versions will be a very straight forward one.  The BIOS may require modification in order to correctly maintain a lower TDP due to the use of a low profile cooler.  Also, the fact that the GTX750 series officially supports GPU boost makes it even easier because the Precision software can easily be used to correctly monitor temps and stability of the GPU at the lower TDP.

I'll be keeping my eyes open for when EVGA releases this high demand version in the near future...

Galaxy just announced the upcoming release of their new single slot GTX 750 Ti Razor card (note that the fan header on the card pcb is PWM capable):

I'm also looking for a GTX 750 Ti in low profile form. I would buy from EVGA without question if EVGA had one available.

+1 vote from me for EVGA manufacturing more low profile cards.

I would absolutely eat up single slot 750 Ti cards if EVGA made them (ITX anyone??) AND if they were appropriately priced.  I'm used to buying 750 Ti cards for ~$100 after rebate and/or coupon codes, but wouldn't mind a small premium over that for EVGA's work to produce the card.

I've been using 750 Ti's in tons of builds already.  Just the right amount of performance for the vast majority of gamers, super quiet, super low power consumption.

Sadly, EVGA has once again disappointed us all and ignored the voices of their loyal customers
