Ok this problem has been occurring since Titan X installation. Computer power setting are on default so it goes to sleep when not in use. But upon wake it cycles ON, OFF, ON, OFF, and then stays ON and boots all the way. Anyone else? Using Windows 8.1

Turn off sleep mode. To me that feature has always been funny acting. I either turn my computer off or leave it on

I have the 980 FTW and it does the same thing. It has to be these newer cards, because I did not experience this with the 680s.

I'm not sure if this is an answer you're looking for, but i had a 3 year old PSU that i was using. it was a Lazer series by thermaltake (I think). Back when i was using the 790i ULTRA mobo, it worked fine and wonders. After getting the x79 Dark and the 970's, Even though it was 1k watts, every time i pushed the power button my PC would not turn on, it would just eluminate the "turn-on" LED on my motherboard rapidly and do nothing. After multiple pushes, it would finally turn on..... This is the fun part of the matter. Every time i tried utilizing the sleep mode, it would turn on, turn off, turn on, turn off, turn on and then turn off repeatedly. After doing a little research online, multiple users who experienced a similar problem with the x79 DARK not powering up correctly reported after getting a higher grade PSU eliminated their problem, so i changed mine, and that's when the problem went away. So, now, powering up my PC works fine, sleep works fine, and it shows clean power going to all my components, like it should be doing. Maybe it's the PSU?

I don't know much of anything about your PSU, and can't confirm if your PSU is "dead". because your PSU is still working. The only suggestion i had was that it could be that the Titan does not like your PSU, based on the experience i had with my 970's and the x79, or there could be a voltage issue somewhere within your PC which is making the "on and off" thing occuring. Again, could be. You have do process of elimination, from the drivers down to the PSU. You mentioned when you put the Titan in your PC is when you experienced the problem... and the PC wants to start when coming out of hibernation (sleep mode), but shuts down right after, and repeats..... sounds like a lack of voltage current. WHen i had my issue, i figured I would buy an EVGA powersupply, because many users reported it had phonenominal voltage, clean power, and awesome reviews. So, i really didnt have much to lose, and i could send it back if it didn't fix my issue... (NO, that was not a sales pitch.) It's your call sir.

Think about buying it from Amazon, because if the PSU doesnt work, Amazon will ship it back free of charge, with no stocking fee (coughnewegg)
