Paul Reubens has confirmed that the new Pee-wee Herman movie is set to begin filming in early 2015, thirty years after the first film hit theaters.
“There’s going to be a big announcement any minute now,” the actor recently told Rolling Stone. “It’s going to get made shortly after the new year.”
Ruebens went on to tell the publication that production on a new Pee-wee film has been “stalling and stalling” for roughly four years.
“I’m really ready for this to happen,” Reubens said, “but I’m not kidding: it’s very imminent.”

He has been doing shows for a long time. He just did a Pee-Wees playhouse type of live show near my area not too long ago. I was going to get tickets but I just didn't. Maybe it's childhood nostalgia but I like Pee Wee. He messed up pretty bad but I would probably rent it. "On this very night, ten years ago, on this same stretch of road, in the dense fog, just like this, I saw the worse accident I ever seen. There was this sound, like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building. And when they finally pulled the driver's body from the twisted, burning, WRECK, it looked like... THIS!  That was a great childhood memory!

Tim Burton directed the first one and I loved it. In fact this thread made me pop in my Pee Wee Bluray and watch it today :)
