Personally, I would go with the Xbox 1s. Sony regrettably did not include a 4K bluray player in the PS4 while Microsoft did put one in the Xbox 1s. Both will render games in Native 4k, but only the Xbox with play 4K bluray discs.

I'm getting a Nintendo Switch. Both the PS4 and XB1 don't entice me. But if I had a gun to my head to make me choose one, I guess I would wait for the XB1 Scorpio coming later this year.

I am not in the market for either the PS4 or XBox1. But, if I were, I would get the PS4. Xbox1 sales haven't been as good, Xbox1 news hasn't been as cheerful, and Xbox1 game exclusives are much fewer and less optimistic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DywqxY46Hu4

I would go with PS4, just because I hate microsoft. I do not know about the newer generations of the PS4 and XBox, but I know the first gen the PS4 had better hardware also.

PS4 Pro. Its great. I have enjoyed the PS4 since launch. Got both PS4 and Pro at launch time. You must play The Last Guardian. My GOTY choice and it is EPIC! I am also going to get the Switch when it comes out. I am a big Mario and Zelda fan. Zero interest in Xbone since I have a PC to play their games if I want to. I have GOW 4 on PC.

There is no bad choice. If you care very much about 4K movies, you may prefer the Xbox.
Personally, the exclusive titles made me choose the PS4 over the Xbox.

Imo, you should get this: http://www.nintendo.com/nes-classic/ youd probably have more fun with that than any of the newer ones,lol. My old original NES still works and I play it once in awhile which ,believe it or not, its pretty darn fun. I didn't see the list of games on the classic but I have at least 30 games myself and a power glove so I can overclock the thing right from my arm!!! After the stunt Microsoft tried to pull on the Xbox one , i can't support them.  If it wasn't for Sony and backlash from gamers, M$ would of went through with that plan. This generation of consoles, PS4 usually has more users online, at least with EA games.

I have a PlayStation 4 and an Xbox One. If I was in your position I would get a PlayStation 4. Most Xbox One exclusives are available for the PC also. Dead Rising 4, ReCore, Forza Horizon 3, Gears of War 4, and some others.

Wait for the newer gen consoles like the XBone Scorpio and/or the PS4.5. As previously mentioned, the latest update to the PS4 does not include a BR UHD drive while the XBone S does.
Myself personally, I currently have an XBone and if/when Gran Turismo gets released I might get a PS4. My biggest (ongoing) gripe about both consoles from day one is the proprietary hardware.

I'm slightly bias for sony, but either go ps4pro or xb1s. I own all the consoles and will also still get the upcoming switch.
I don't have the ps4pro or xb1s as I don't have a real need to upgrade them even though I do have a 4k tv to go with it. I'll be waiting for maybe a special collectors edition of the console in the future instead.

Yep. Got a 7200RPM 5TB drive hooked up to mine. Other than some *issues trying to get the console to recognize the drive, it's been trouble free. I keep eyeing that olive drab Battlefield 1 console. It would look so nice sitting next to B Movie when I move it downstairs as a Steam box. * Turns out I was the problem.

I have both. I compared exclusives prior to deciding which one to purchase first and went with the Box first followed by the PS4 about 4 months later. I generally look at what each one offers in terms of the exclusives, playability, and, most importantly, best "bang for buck". Remember, software evolves and can be implemented to both consoles to provide improved user experiences; that's what patches do for us. This is just my 2cents worth. :)

Personally, I got tired of having to choose between connection, for XBone, or title for PS... And the whole thing of crosstalk between consoles seems to be nothing more than another dream we'll never see. So I'm forgetting both of them and playing PC/laptop forevermore... Just saying

I doubt those people are hanging out on the forums of a video card manufacturer. We are spending the full price of the PS4 and PS4 Pro, if not more, for just one piece of hardware in our PCs. We are pushing 4k at 60fps because we want the best. I think the people in that video would look at a $700 video card and never in their lives consider buying one, or even know how to install one. I also have no doubt that 100% of the people on this forum could tell the difference between a PS4 and a PS4 Pro in a side by side comparison.

Haha I bet it is and I do use the PS4 more. What I'm waiting for is probably a FFVII PS4 Pro Console Edition to happen this year.

Well, I can't see the difference (or barely see a difference) in the side-by-side and split-screen images and videos I have seen. Can you? Plus, once you are caught up in the story of a game, I doubt you notice how sharp a person's hair is. It looks like a waste of money to me; until they can make a game or experience significantly different.
