132-CK-NF79 mother board
Q9659 Quad 3.0 CPU
current GPU is GTX680
PSU is Antec 1000
So i update my GPU from a 680 to the gigabyte Geforce GTX970 G1. when I power up i got a bunch of post codes; here are the codes and what they mean from EVGA MB manual. this is where I am stuck I do not know how to proceed or what to do. also the power cable I have 2 8 pin pci and the new gtx 970 has 1 8 pin and 1 6 pin socket. when i plug in i get the EVGA logo and initial screen and then MB starts to beep and reset to blank screen. please help me

I am pretty sure that old chipset can not handle any video card above a 750ti but I'll ask that you verify that with EVGA tech support.

Is that a 4 gig card. I'm looking for a newer card that can handle 3 24 inch monitors. 60 hertz. Right now w 680 I run 3 but on I have turn off lot things. How do I find out if it can handle it

Yes, you must have UEFI BIOS to use the 900 series. You can buy a cheap LGA 775 motherboard with UEFI and just replace it ($60). Without UEFI, the 900 series does not work.

The 750 to comes in 2 gig and 1 gig. I'm looking for a 4 gig. Or I could buy 750ti and run sli. W my 680. I have all the connection in the box.

I'm shipping back the 970. What kind of card or what look for when selecting a GPU? U guys solved my issue in 1 hour. I wish I found this site yesterday. I spent 8 hours on other site trying figure out issue.

so i just got done talk to tech support, my MB will support upto 700 series. so i can run like a 780ti 3 gig. but he said something like my CPU will bottleneck at 60% or something.

Your CPU would deffinitly be a limiting factor. You should either look at the 750ti 2GB or a $700 computer overhaul which would be CPU/MoBo/GPU. You could probably get a $150 i7 2600k from Eby if you bought used. That plus a $100 motherboard would only be $250 and then you could either get the 780 or go with the 970 you have now.
If you don't want to go in $250 more then just get the 750ti.

I just bought this pc a month ago . I can play all games. On high quality. It's just when I'm on 3 monitors I have turn stuff down. I'm reading on cpu bottlenecking just found out how test all that and GPU as well. Doing bunch test now.
