Gota draw the line somewhere.. they also could of gave you the option of paying the difference for the other board atleast. BuT whatever.. shop around next time or build your own.
how much do you think i can sell it for? let's say if you were going to buy it.... i need to know what price should i be offering...
Just checked ebay on past sales and last refurbished board a guy sold stating he did not use it sold for only $207.50 in an auction. Others sold from 2-$300 and one for $325. Now must likely it's gona be a refurbished board from asus there gona get back. Which sucks cause you bought a new board and it was defective but that's what asus does and most companies. Still should have full manufacturers warranty from asus though. And they would prob have to go threw you for it. Did not check amazon for used boards but alot of people on there ask way too much many on alot of things. Hate to ask what you paid for the board.. as I said they should of offered the new 10 edition for free or pay the difference.

Just checked amazon for used boards and the prices start at $325 and go up to around $400 used. May get lucky asking for $350 if it's all complete with everything in the box being a referbished board straight from asus.

yeah brotherman.... i still have to finish mafia 3 WHICH I CAN'T! lol and still have to open up and play tomb raider. I tried out the cod iw beta....and cancelled the pre-order. Really amped for Battlefield 1 and also getting tital fall 2....never played part 1 but only getting it because of that awesome collector's edition mask >_<

:) titanfall 2 will be awesome! Loved playing the first one.. took me away from bf4.
Yeah a good single player game is nice.. wish I had time to. I'm always playing these other multi-player games that need alot of attention to unlock weapons and crap haha.
I always buy a bunch of good single player games from steam has there sales with the intention of playing them but it mostly never happends. Though I did play threw dying light last year and that was great!
Tomb raider.. played threw all the old ones from years past but got my but kicked badly enough in one of the newer ones a few years ago and sold it on the console haha.. good looking game though and prob pick them up again when I catch a sale on the pc version.

Sounds like it.. maybe should mention it to them as leverage for them to give you your asus rampage v 10th edition as they originally said they would..
Though I'd be prepared to get your pc back and buy your own board and install the cpu yourself and os and everything else..
Though would think they would just get you the mb you wanted insted of having you wait this long for the returned one.
Or maybe just get a flat refund for the whole thing?

oh i've given them the whole nine yards today ..haha! i told them to do whatever they want, keep them busy with other **** but as a reminder i have given you 30 days to get my my pc back in full working condition with a working mobo or i demand a full refund. he said that oh i'll speak with my owner. i told him to do as you wish and make sure of it and i will not call you daily but remind you every end week of it :) the dude was tripping on the phone haha!

I doubt it.. not happening with my quad core 6700k. With the 8 core 40 lane cpu you can run ea card at x16 x16 insted of x8 x8 which most will say isint a difference.
In gaming max cpu speed matters most. I believe the 8 core 6850k will run a little less then the 6800k. You would have to move up to the 6900k to get the speed up on the cores.
I think your in the sweet spot now but yeah with all that ram and getting 40 lanes with the 6850 I'd grab that and overclock it :)

No way. There is no bottleneck there.

You could run both vga cards at x16 ea for 32 total and have 8 lanes left over or run them at 8 ea for 16 total and have 16 lanes left to use. All that's only important if you need more lanes.. if not, your fine.

Were talking about actual devices I stalled on the pcie slots. Those other things like reg ssd and hdd cards plugged into the motherboard drive slots run off the chipset which don't count towards the cpu lane total. Though that extra usb 3.0 pcie card slot would be not sure if that's just a x1 or x4 slot. Anyways yeah.. at 28 lanes you'll have enough lanes open for some room yet to expand. Likely event would be to run a nvme ssd drive to raid with the other m.2 slot built into your board or a u.2 drive.. currently a intel 750. So with all that said hold with the 6800k unless you feel the need for more cores as it would help with rendering video.

I doubt it.. not happening with my quad core 6700k. With the 8 core 40 lane cpu you can run ea card at x16 x16 insted of x8 x8 which most will say isint a difference.
In gaming max cpu speed matters most. I believe the 8 core 6850k will run a little less then the 6800k. You would have to move up to the 6900k to get the speed up on the cores.
I think your in the sweet spot now but yeah with all that ram and getting 40 lanes with the 6850 I'd grab that and overclock it :)
what is a lane? 40? 16? 8? (shy face) lol.
That's quick access roads from the pcie slots directly to the cpu. Your 6800k has 20 lanes i believe. So with your dual graphics card working at 8 lanes ea is 16 lanes total so you have 4 lanes left for expansion for extra cards as in sound cards, nic or ssd or raid cards that use x4.
So if you had a 6850k,6900k or the crazy priced 6950k, those have 40 lanes. You could run both vga cards at x16 ea for 32 total and have 8 lanes left over or run them at 8 ea for 16 total and have 16 lanes left to use.
All that's only important if you need more lanes.. if not, your fine.
ohhhh i see!! i just checked my CPU and it offers 28lanes. so i have 2 vgas that's 16 already. leaving me with 12. i have 2 ssd cards installed and a pcie for asus 3.1 usb slot which came with the mobo....that should leave me now with 0 since ssd cards and 1 pce usb slot take 4 each right? does that mean i can no longer add ssd cards? i also have 1 hdd added of 2tb....
Were talking about actual devices I stalled on the pcie slots. Those other things like reg ssd and hdd cards plugged into the motherboard drive slots run off the chipset which don't count towards the cpu lane total.
Though that extra usb 3.0 pcie card slot would be not sure if that's just a x1 or x4 slot.
Anyways yeah.. at 28 lanes you'll have enough lanes open for some room yet to expand. Likely event would be to run a nvme ssd drive to raid with the other m.2 slot built into your board or a u.2 drive.. currently a intel 750.
So with all that said hold with the 6800k unless you feel the need for more cores as it would help with rendering video.

Any updates??
Not much really.....going to call tuesday and find out. They did fire the kid who installed my pc and didn't thoroughly check the mobo...he then lied to me saying this next dude has the tracking# for the mobo shipment which led to that dude getting furious about it so the owner heard about this and let him go. I'm happy about that. Their deadline is November 16th. I wrote a letter to the ministry that handles consumer complaints and aware of the situation. Thanks for checking in though :)

I did hear there's a way to still get the free win10 still if wanted even after the Microsoft deline. Can look it up if interested.
